I have celiac disease and got straight up bread in my French onion soup. This used to be a special spot for my boyfriend and I because they typically have so many great options. It was my bfs birthday and I made a reservation here with a group of people to celebrate. I noticed the bread after I had one bite. I immediately had to go to the bathroom to throw up to try to get it out of my system. It was very embarrassing. We’re sad to say we will never go back there.

The food was good and they did have a number of GF options. Their new manager has Celiac, so the waitstaff had more knowledge of gluten than most restaurants. I did get minor cc (the server said the hors d'oeuvres was probably GF, and I should have passed).

After I got sick, I was advised that I need to carry a prescription with me and present it to the server so that it gets taken seriously. They also suggested it was something I ate yesterday, but I have a severe allergy and I react quickly.
