Departure had delicious food and lots of options. Clearly marked on the menu which items were gluten free. I did the Departure Experience and had a peach and tomato salad, spicy tuna poke roll, and the Alaskan salmon. All was very very good!

This is how all restaurants should cater to special diet requests. I added a note in my open table reservation “Celiac guest, gluten free menu please”. That was the only time I had to reference my dietary restrictions. The hostess greeted us and knew we had a Celiac dining with us and asked how many gluten free menus we would like. From there our waitress greeted us and without prompting assured us all gluten free menu options are prepared safe from cross contamination. She noted the Gluten free Tamari sauce when she brought it to the table. Absolutely a wonderful dining experience with impeccable service. Well done Departure. The salmon roll, steak and pineapple upside down cake were amazing.

5 star all the way! Great restaurant and the food is amazing. Very knowledgeable staff and dedicated menu. A must visit!
This is by far the best dining experience in Portland. By far. And it happened a to have a several gf options. After a great meal of highest cuisine, we were pleasantly delighted to hear that every single dessert was gf, and not just ice cream or brulee like some places have, but doughnuts and upside down pineapple cake. Everything made from scratch including waffle cones. It has gone to top of our list as the best dining experience in Portland, that happens to be gf friendly and ready.
Perhaps our favorite restaurant in town!! Dedicated GF menu with lots of super tasty options. Get the crab sausage fried rice and thank me later ;) This is a high-end restaurant with spectacular views of the city, so prices can be a little high. But we usually try to hit happy hour to keep it more reasonable.
Great staff. Asked about any allergies at the host stand and provided a separate gluten free menu. Great service and delicious food. Also the rooftop has great views!

Beautiful space and creative menu. The wait staff was very well educated about explaining the ingredients in the dishes and which items were gluten free. All desserts were GF too! It’s a bit pricey but worth the excellent dining experience!

The host asked about any dietary restrictions and put into the computer that I needed things prepared "celiac friendly". From that point, everyone who came to our table knew and made a point to reassure me that what I was eating was prepared safely. The food was DELICIOUS! Their entire dessert menu was gluten free and the waiter said that they never use gluten-containing flours in their desserts. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Food is superb and the service is great; staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Moderately expensive but absolutely worth it. Dessert menu is totally gluten-free. (Order the Coconut Ash Bowl; you can thank me later.) Stunning views also.

Perhaps the most metropolitan spot in Portland. One of the few places to really dress up in your most stylish garb. A "see and be seen" spot. Delicious food & amazing food.
