Indian street food, Bombay style. The menu says “gluten free” on half its offerings, but the staff is not knowledgeable, doesn’t understand the concept of cross-contamination, and I got sick. Usually Indian restaurants are fairly safe except for their bread offerings, or if they use “Hing” a mixture of asafetida and wheat flour. Half the menu here is chickpea flour crepes filled with potato things, and the other half is wheat bread sandwiches filled with potato things, so it’s anyone’s guess whether I suffered from direct- or cross-contamination. NOT FOR CELIACS. Probably an okay place to eat if you’re not avoiding gluten. But, it IS a pretty authentic Indian vibe with non-English speaking staff, and if you’ve been to India, you know you’re visiting for the sanitation. So eat at your own risk. Owners, if you’re reading this review, please remove the large printed “GLUTEN FREE” splashes from your photo-rich menu. You clearly don’t know what the words mean.
