Amazing hot dogs! Gluten free hot dog and hamburger rolls, yummm!! Gluten free lobster rolls and lobster bisque soup. I go here every summer and have never been sick!
— Excellent
French fries are gluten free but there in an environment of cross contamination
— No gluten-free information on the menu
I have eaten there many times and never got sick. Fries could be a problem so I get chips.

Very happy with this establishment. Told them my son is very very sensitive, the owner stopped talked to us about preparing for the food, had staff change their gloves. Very pleased.

My daughter has celiac. We ate here at the end of June and she got the hot dog with a gluten free bun and we ordered chips instead of fries. When her order came out it was on fries and the employee willingly made another order for her. She had no problems. We were excited to go again and ordered the same thing. We made it clear it was for an allergy. My daughter got sick. Even though we really enjoy this restaurant it is not a good option for people with celiac. The owner was kind and receptive to the information that my daughter got sick.

GF rolls offered. Fryer is shared. Outdoor seating only.
They have GF rolls and I was able to have a lobster roll. It was excellent!
Gf buns, chips (potato) in packages, gf lobster bisque. Friendly service and a local favorite! Shared grill surface, so be aware of that, but for non-celiac, this is a must stop!

Awesome food but not GF
I'm going to come to the Dog House's defense, here.
The Dog House is an amazing little establishment. It is a hot dog stand on steroids, more or less. It's a little, seasonal shack in the shape of a dog house that dishes up hot dogs, burgers, lobster rolls, fish sandwiches, chicken fingers, chili, fries and onion rings.
The food is amazing. I used to love this place and was a regular before being diagnosed Celiac.
It is not celiac friendly. It is a small cook line. You can see it from where you order, there's no mystery of what's going on back there.
If you are not tremendously sensitive to cross contamination you'll be fine eating the fried things. If you are... use common sense just like any other restaurant.
If you are desperate for fries and onion rings and don't want to ruin your kids' hot dog eating experience go to the Bass River Fish & Burrito place not far from there, pick some up, bring them with you. I'm sure no one is going to give you any hassle for this.
I am not an owner, relative of an owner, or even know the owners but I wouldn't hesitate for a second to bring my own fries if it was that important to me. There was no need for a one star review. Disappointing to find out, sure. Quality-wise? No.

This review is be written to respond to a visitor who wrote a previous review on the Dog House having gluten free options. First off no staff had an Oh- Oh expression. The employee may have not known the answer to the question. Secondly, we can not promise gluten free FF. There is not misrepresentation here because we were never contacted for this APP. Not sure why we would apologize for being completely honest and saying the oil may have had something battered in it. I resent having an APP sited that I did not know existed. A suggestion would be to pick up the phone and ask these questions to avoid dissapointment. I have contacted this APP to report the inaccuracy. Just to reiterate we had no knowledge of this APP existing. Additionally, we go over & above to accommodate all our customers and pride ourselves on service.
This place was a disappointment for us. The #1 reason is because the fries are not technically GF although fries are listed as one of the options on this app. When I asked at the counter , the workers had an "uh-oh"look on their face. One person asked a guy in back and he said they weren't. Disappointed , we only ordered hotdogs for my boys and sat down. An older gentleman came out, probably the owner , and attempted to explain why the fries aren't GF (fried in same oil as gluten products ). I told him that the app shouldn't represent them as GF. He said his website doesn't and I should show it to him. He said if no one in my party has Celiac, the fries should be safe. I just wasn't pleased with the misrepresentation. Kids were disappointed and no one ever said sorry. Won't be going back.
Had an awesome gf hotdog with home made gf chili with gf bun. Hand cut fries too.
