Dolphin Marina and Restaurant

Really need to expand gf options. Any of the nice touches this restaurant has to offer are not available to gluten free customers (chowders, muffins, most specials, house made chips, they don’t even have gf bread). I occasionally go for a beverage on the porch but meals are out for me for the most part. Super big disappointment.

— Below Average

Staff was knowledgeable, food was good. Had steamed lobster, rice and cauliflower. NONE of the bread was GF. Their specialty is a blueberry muffin with each meal so that was strange no GF. Views were gorgeous and food was really good.

The staff was very knowledgeable about what could be served GF. I had the seafood risotto… it had salmon, shrimp and scallops. It was absolutely delicious! I am super sensitive to cross contamination… but had no problem. I wish they had a gf version of their blueberry muffin.

GF items are not specifically marked, but the menu does indicate that they can make most items GF on request. Our server did not know the answer to our question so she went to ask the manager. I appreciate that she admitted she didn’t know rather than trying to bluff her way through it. Quinoa pilaf was substituted for a GF containing side. The food was attractively plated and delicious. Service was courteous and pleasant. Great view of the water from outdoor picnic tables. COVID precautions in effect. We would definitely return!

Love this place! Amazing food and ocean view. Staff is very knowledgeable about gluten. I’ve eaten here many times without getting sick. My fav is the lobster stew.

Yes

The staff is pretty knowledgeable about what is safe to eat on the menu, unfortunately it’s just pretty limited as they don’t have a dedicated fryer. Our waitress was accommodating and I was able to order a side of mashed potatoes with a salad and shrimp skewers. The food was fine but it would be great if they got a dedicated fryer and could expand their options!!!

The owner is really nice she will come over to tables and talk to you herself! They understand what can be made gluten free and what can't. I usually get the scallops but I've also had a salad with lobster. The seafood is very fresh and delicious. However the menu is kind of limited for gluten free people- I usually have to get the same thing. Four stars because of this and it's probably not safe. My family comes here all summer which is why I go frequently. Would be awesome if they got a gluten free fryer!

While they don't advertise themselves as exclusively GF, they do have some menu items marked GF and we found them incredibly accommodating to our 6 year old daughter's Celiac Disease needs. The owner gave us suggestions for safe options and warned us of dishes that had the potential for CC. She was at our table discussing foods several times and made us feel comfortable that she was taking care of the dishes being prepared for our daughter. She even was able to enjoy a yummy chocolate mousse for dessert. However, I cannot verify that she was not glutened as she has no symptoms when exposed.
