LOVE LOVE LOVE Don Juanz! It is a must whenever we are in town (We ate here twice a week when we lived here) and I never have a reaction. The owner is dedicated to healthy and clean eating and is knowledgable in GF. All of the tacos can be GF by switching to corn tortillas.

Follow the Gluten-Free road with these easy menu modifiers to maintain your GF diet. Everything is GF on our menu, except: flour or wheat tortillas, any steak product (soy marinade), El Dorado Tacos (mahi-mahi has a soy-ginger glaze) & any offering with Mole' (has flour in the recipe). **We utilize a color-coded tong/knife/cutting board area for all of our proteins, which helps control cross-contamination.
Still amazed by the quality, cleanliness and service here. This is my go-to choice for GF food. Any Celiac should have this restaurant dialed into their phone. Everything on their menu is gluten-free except for 5 things: flour & wheat tortillas, Chicken Mole', snapper tacos and grilled steak (they use a soy sauce marinade on the snapper and steak. Manager explained it as; "No MSG and Low Sodium in their Soy Sauce", but he was clear to define anything with soy sauce is not GF). The best thing is, the chips and salsa are GF! The chips are 100% white corn and fried independently (the only thing they fry there) in vegetable oil. I also saw the kitchen using color-coded cutting boards, knives and tongs to further reduce cross-contamination. It's great to finally be able to eat freely at a restaurant offering so many GF options. Food was excellent! Service spot on. I can’t write enough good things about this place!

Great gluten free options here. Super clean restaurant and helpful staff. Most of their menu is gluten free. The owner informed me that the tasty 100% corn tortillas are gluten free and so are the rice and beans. They offer two types of beans, re fried pinto and black beans made with vegetable oil and no lard. We tried both beans and each tasted unique with just the right amount of seasoning. The free thin and delicious chips with salsa are gluten free and fried in 100% canola oil. The owner said the oil does not produce cholesterol or trans fat. The chips are also the "only" thing they fry, so no cross contamination. Stay away from the steak and snapper tacos. I heard they're good, but they use a soy sauce marinade on their steak and snapper. Soy sauce has gluten. The chicken mole looked like food art, but the owner mentioned it was not gluten free. They even let me sit with my yorkie on the outdoor patio. Love this place!

You would expect your steak to be done mine was not. The portion size was so small I fell robbed. The only detail of gluten free on the menu is is that the corn tortilla is gluten free. Be prepared to ask alot of questions. The corn tortillas my kids got were oily. We didn't require them to even finish the tacos.
Very knowledgeable about gluten. Ive had the chicken taco's and chicken bowl.
