Don Peppers Mexican Grill Cantina

My partner and I love authentic Mexican food, so when I saw this place named on here, we were excited to give them a try. Once we were seated, I asked for a GF menu or options, and the server looked completely lost and went to get a different server, who was also unfamiliar, so she went to ask the kitchen staff. She returned saying the cook said he "thinks" the street tacos should be ok, but the rest of the dishes contained rice and so not GF, but he wasn't very knowledgeable. We thanked her for her effort, but told her I would not be able to eat somewhere with little knowledge of GF food/food prep as I'm very sensitive. I was very disappointed, because it all smelled amazing in there. Here's to hoping they get it together!

— Not Much

We have eaten here a lot and as long as I order corn tortillas I'm good. They note allergies when ordering. I even eat the chips with no reaction but I'm not super sensitive to cross contamination.

Waiter not knowledgeable, but the host, who I think was the manager, told us they fry the chimichangas in the same fryer, so it is contaminated. They have corn tortillas (not fried). The street tacos were great.

Not only is the staff great but the food is so fresh. It’s a really good restaurant that happens to be GF friendly. We have been here a few times and our server has been knowledgeable about GF. I don’t know if they all are (we had the same guy twice). He said all you need to do is substitute flour tortillas for corn (which we all know). He said they have separate fryers for corn and flour so there shouldn’t be contamination. So far so good. Twice we’ve been and no problems at all.
