We are familiar with Duke’s from another location. This trip reminded us why we don’t go. In short, very few options, not a lot of flavor. If you have 2 preferences - I prefer to also be DF as well — forget it. I did not have a negative gluten reaction from the meal (special of the day) but I was also underwhelmed. Additionally, you could see based on the portion size (i.e. very few veggies compared to other restaurants of similar prices), cost is impacting what you get on the plate.
One (1) salad option on the menu (available downstairs not in the dinning room although open to making an exception if you know to asked). You can add chicken or fish (not sure what seasonings that did or didn’t include) and not able to add a simple burger; you’d have to order 2 items - the salad and the burger dish. There was one (1) dinner entree option on the menu (almost a curry dish which was okay not super flavorful). When we asked, there was 1 other dinner option; anything else would have to be modified to the point of it not being the same dish and an up charge. One (1) dessert option that is okay; its so consistent it wouldn’t be surprising to learn it was out of a box even though it supposed to be a local dish. While OK once not worth return visits; wouldn’t recommend.
