Went to East Bay Deli at Carnes Crossroads today and spent more than $60, plus a $5 tip, for a total of $70 on a Chief Reuben, Large Salad, Small Salad and a Slice of Cheesecake. First, I had to pay .60 cents for additional dressing in 2 TINY, TINY cups. Then, I noticed when I got home that I spent more than $10 on a tiny slice of cheesecake that wasn’t even large enough to share with anyone. INSANE! For those of you who have eaten there, you know how generous the dessert slices have been in the past! Not Anymore! Kaminsky’s downtown doesn’t even charge like this, especially for such a tiny slice! First, they went to selling Potato Spuds that were no larger than the ones you can buy at the supermarket, while still advertising, to this day, Ultimate Spuds, so their menu is leading and is a flat out lie in that regard. Today did it for me! I will never spend my money at this location again!

Just stopped here - both girls behind the counter knew zero about gluten free options (just said “we have gluten-free bread”); ridiculous; anyone in food service should have a basic idea about food allergies!

My husband and I ate here last week, I always wait to post a review though. I didn't get sick which is the most important aspect when I dine out. I also need to feel safe, so if I feel the slightest inkling that the staff can't accomodate me, I'm out.
The employees were very helpful with explaining their cross contamination protocol, they change gloves, use a separate toaster etc. I felt safe. I ordered a Reuben, which was tasty but not authentic, it had mustard rather than thousand island and no swiss cheese or coleslaw to be had. I'm used to NY/NJ/Philly style sandwiches and I know I won't get there here, but it's all good. I'll try something different next time, I'll definitely eat here again.

They have gluten free bread and can make any sandwich. I love the Tessa or the Carolina! I am celiac and haven’t gotten sick!

East Bay Deli offers gluten free bread, which can be substituted on any sandwich or wrap. The majority of meats and cheeses are gluten free and they will take special precautions for severe allergies.
