Really disappointed in the knowledge of the staff. The French Fries are marked gluten free which yes potato’s are gluten free naturally. But they put everything into ONE fryer with all the other flour and gluten products. Just proceed with caution

Was disappointed with the limited choices for gluten free meals(4 labeled). I asked the waiter if others could be made gf? He did not offer to check with the chef, just said only what is marked gf. We mentioned we were there to celebrate our anniversary, did not recommend any dessert option.

Asymptomatic Celiac

I had a good experience here. I told the server I had celiac and she told me they have a separate prep area for allergy orders and a dedicated fryer for fries. They have GF bread for sandwiches and Gf pasta, plus menu marked with things that are naturally gluten free like salads, steak tips, some seafood dishes, etc. I asked the server to check with the kitchen on the pastrami Reuben for me and she said I was good to go subbing for gluten free bread. I had that with fries and it was delicious. They also have a flourless chocolate cake for dessert. I'd come back!!

Tips

Symptomatic Celiac

I came here once a few years ago. And have not returned since. It was disgusting. I have a dairy allergy and they put cheese on my food, and I requested the burger well done. But when I got it there was a lot on pink in the middle. I will not and have not returned since, it was horrible.

Had a great experience the first time I went to East Bay Grille after being gluten free. I went again today for lunch and informed the waitress I had celiac and ordered a Caesar salad with mahi mahi (no croutons). She reassured me that it would be made in a separate area to prevent cross contamination. The salad was very good but I got really sick after. Don’t think I’ll be returning to east bay grille sadly.

GF marked on menu. I opted for the risotto which had lobster, scallops, and shrimp. Also was given a warm GF roll. 👍

Went there for lunch with a bunch of friends. The were very dismissive about my allergy and I felt like they didn't listen. Well let's just say I got contaminated and spent the rest of the day sick!

Came here with a large group. Had looked at the menu online ahead of time and it listed 3 or 4 main dish choices. Got here and only had 2 choices - steak tips and turkey tips. Which was disappointing seeing it is a seafood restaurant. Asked the waitress if any of the nightly specials were gluten free and was told the crabmeat stuffed cod was. I questioned the stuffing and then was told it wasn't gluten free because of the bread crumbs but they would make it gluten free. I passed on that and had the steak tips. Could have more seafood choices.
