Definitely bring your own chips as the chips are NOT safe to eat, thankfully the staff told me before ordering. Ordered the corn barbacoa tocos and while they didn’t hold together well, by far the best flavor I’ve ever had in barbacoa! The avocado crema was DF as well and complimented perfectly. A great authentic stop, just not very many options.

Ask for the gluten free menu.
They have specific items on their menu labeled Celiac-safe! I am a very sensitive Celiac and did not get sick here. Our waiter was wonderful and I felt completely safe eating here.

Ate here twice on our vacation in Estes park area . Excellent food and many celiac choices. I had the vegan enchiladas one night and the tres enchiladas another. Neither meal was a disappointment. Chips and salsa were also great !!

Our waitress seemed knowledgeable about cross-contamination and separate kitchen prep spaces, and when my food was brought out the runner confirmed that he was giving me a celiac order. I got the enchiladas and they were incredible. I didn't get sick at all! Their menu has gluten free items marked separately from celiac safe items, so they really seem to know what they're doing!

The menu is clearly marked! Not just GF, but celiac friendly. I had the soft tacos and an avocado margarita! Super yummy! Portions are plentiful! Dulce was our waitress and she is remarkable! So patient and kind with my questions about the menu.

My little one cannot eat gluten. We ate here and he ordered a GF burrito bowl. I ordered the same and it was good. He had no reactions at all, so in my book that is a huge win!

May 2023. Not impressed. As other reviews state, you cannot have the chips. Which you have to pay for chips and salsa $4. The salsa was really good, and hot! Bring your own chips with you. The menu clearly marks gluten free, celiac, vegetarian, peanut, etc. covers all the allergies. Which is good. I had the 3 enchiladas and they were just ok. No flavor. The corn shells tasted stale. I ended up eating the meat inside the bison and pork. The chicken was chunks, overdone and tough. Rice was not good. Meal was $13. Our waitress was terrible. I asked for some limes and she brought both limes and lemons because “I don’t know the difference” (her words). Others love it, so it’s up to you.

Great food, not everything on the menu is GF even though marked if you have celiac, the chips are in same fryer as an example. But the waitstaff clearly understood. I had the carne asada with rice and beans along with three carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. Very good and waitstaff clearly knew.

Really good food! I got the bison enchiladas and they were delicious. The beans were especially delicious. You won want to miss out on those. Apparently they don't have a dedicated fryer, so no chips and salsa if you are celiac, but the menu is well marked which GF AND celiac, which was helpful. Staff was great. Made a note when I ordered that I had to eat GF which I always appreciate. Great place to eat!

Put on a waitlist and took a walk down the main drag to window shop. Got a text message rather quickly. Lovey table out back by the river. Excellent food. Great service. This is not a toco joint so expect prices to reflect that. Would definitely recommend for celiacs

It’s hard to find decent gluten free options in tourists towns and it was nice to find this place today. The menu is marked not only gluten free but also celiac safe options also!! The service was amazing! The food was tasty and very filling. If you’re coming to Estes and are a celiac, mark this place down.

Super knowledgeable about celiac safe! It’s labeled on the menu and all of our q’s were answered! Lunch was delicious - we got tacos with a side of beans and rice! The tacos are really filling! (I chose to pass on the chips here bc they are fried in the same fryer as non GF items.) The restaurant is cute and on the river!

Ed’s has a menu marked for gluten sensitivity and also for celiac. This is the only place I eat when I’m in Estes. Service is always wonderful and friendly. The pazole and bison enchiladas are excellent! Be careful with the chips as they are not cooked in a safe fryer.

We've been there 4 times now. Menu is great. They have gluten free or celiac friendly on the menu. The celiac friendly items are made in a separate area. We have always gotten the bison enchiladas and they are very good. It's a hit or miss if we get a good waiter. They usually do pretty good. One time out of 4 have we not been happy with our waitter understanding our order.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac so eating out is very scary. We read reviews about Ed’s Cantina and felt comfortable to try it. I have been coming to this restaurant on vacation visits for over 30 years, always impressed. Not only did they have a gf listing but also a celiac listing for their items. My daughter ordered the tres enchiladas and was in heaven from first to last bite. The staff was so knowledgeable about celiac. Although the chips are not safe, they offered to cut up a corn tortilla and make homemade chips that were safe. Not all of us ordered gf but our other 3 meals were delicious as well. Price point was in line with what we would expect. My daughter said give it 5 Stars! Excellent friendly staff. Thanks Ed’s Cantina for making my daughter feel so comfortable and normal at a restaurant!

The menu was marked with signs for both gf and celiac friendly dishes which is nice as some restaurants have options labeled gf when they actually come in contact with gluten. The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and asked if I was celiac or just gf. The food on the other hand was bland and sub par. We got the Tres enchilada and Carne Asada plate. The corn tortillas where raw and the corn chips are made in a shared fryer. Overall service was good, but the food left something to be desired.

Super nice that the menu has gf and celiac safe on their menu, have never seen that before! There is not a huge selection of celiac safe items but there is a lot of gluten free but you risk contamination with that. Excellent food, great service, so helpful! Went here while on a trip in Rocky Mtn NP due to great recommendations and they did not disappoint! We had the Salmon bowl, Bison enchiladas, Carne asada, avocado hummus and a salad. The hostess who took our order was amazing- understood Celiac and went to the kitchen herself to ensure they changed gloves and took care, without our asking! We have other allergies and she took care of all of them - went through the menu with us, made suggestions, did substitutions for us, and got the food quickly and efficiently. We ordered takeout due to Covid, but ambience was nice and relaxed. Highly recommend!!!
