Edzo's Burger Shop

We wanted to support them during quarantine, so we ordered carry out twice. The first time my husband went in and monitored them the whole time, ensuring they used a clean surface, put it in a separate bag, etc. All was well. The second time was after total lock down, so we chanced curbside pick up, meaning no one was watching while they made it. Despite specifically asking them to clean surfaces, pack the gf food separately, etc, they don't seem to have done it. I suspect the average workers just aren't trained on handling allergy orders. The gf food was in a bag underneath the gluten food, and my son definitely got glutened. It was disappointing. My kids loved the food and my son was so excited to eat his favorite foods, so we might give it a try again at a time when the owner is there (he seems very knowledgeable) and we can monitor it start to finish. Without those things, I unfortunately can't recommend it for people with celiac.

Friendly people, and they do have GF buns and a dedicated fryer. Burgers were delicious. However, cross contamination seems to be an issue anyway: both my celiac sons got sick quickly. Sorry we can’t return.

These people know how to treat a Celiac kid WELL!!! Our family eats here all the time and no one has ever had a problem. They’re really helpful and patient about the whole thing. Edzo’s is a destination restaurant for us!
