We have eaten in El Cabo Verde many times since my wife's diagnosis, and it is wonderful. Everything on the menu is gf, except the beer, I'm sure, but how often do you find no off-limits items in a restaurant? And the food is outstanding! Thanks, Chef Gabriel, for such a wonderful and Celiac-safe place for us to go.

I particularly like the Larry's Chicken and the Mole Enchilada. My wife likes the fish tacos, and we both like the Dip Trio appetizer.

The service is always great and there's seating inside and on the patio.

AMAZING! To preface, I am from San Diego & my in-laws are Mexican so I’m extremely picky about Mexican food. I just about threw up eating the Mexican food in Texas. This was nothing like it. It was authentic and wonderful!! Highly recommend the flautas!!! That is such a treat to have as a celiac!

This spot was an amazing find when driving across the country. The whole menu is gluten free, and it’s a standard restaurant. There is a wide array of selection (if you like Mexican food), and the portion sizes are large. The food was tasty as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place. I can eat safely. I have Celiac Disease and there are many restaurants I feel completely at ease eating at. I enjoyed the chips and salsa and just being able to share a meal with my husband.

Every time I am in the area, I have to stop and eat there! This is my number one restaurant to eat at. The food is amazing! They will cook the food to your allergy needs. It is so nice to go in , relax, not worry if I will get sick or forget to request a special order! The server knows me and remembers my needs! Everyone is so friendly ! The owner takes time to speak with you also! I love looking out the window into his garden. Yes! We are eating fresh vegetables. I have seen them go into the garden retrieve vegetables then later it is on my plate. You can’t get any better than that! This fantastic restaurant is a wonderful stop on our road trips!

This was my absolute favorite GF experience so far! I was very impressed! From how cute the place was, to how nice the servers were, and to how amazing the food was. The presentation was great, the flavors were wonderful, and there were so many options considering everything was gluten free. Me and my non-celiac sister really enjoyed it and I can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area!

We were passing through on our way home and found this gem. While I am not celiac, I do have issues with gluten...this place did not disappoint! The food was outstanding...the server kind, the hostess warm and friendly. Margarita was very good. The corn tortillas were some of the best I've ever eaten and that's saying something coming from a San Antonian. Ihighly recommend for anyone looking for something off the beaten path. Absolutely fantastic.
