Review of El Lugarcito Restaurant

Driving down 101 to Monterey and needed to stop for lunch. Frequently Mexican food has gluten free options so we tried El Lugarcito based on yelp reviews. They have great corn tortilla tacos with several choices - the chips are made in house and they told me no flour tortillas are cooked in the oil ( I am very sensitive to cross contamination) - the tortilla chips were great and no negative effects - and the salsa was amazing ( and I have high standards as I lived in Mexico). Recommend trying this place for GF options. The decor and ambience is festive. Service was very good.
