The wait staff were not able to understand my questions (language barrier) and got the manager. The manager didn't know what gluten was. When I explained, he offered to sub out corn tortillas for flour tortillas on any of the menu items. But they don't have a dedicated gluten free fryer and I don't think they understood about cross contamination or preventative measures. I was with a group, so I ordered Pollo Loco without the tortillas and didn't have a noticable reaction. But since I have Celiac I will not be going back and do not recommend to others with Celiac or gluten allergy. If you are avoiding gluten purely as a dietary choice, then they have lots of menu options for you.
