Review of El Mono

The food at this place is amazing. There aren't many Peruvian restaurants in the Bay Area and this one happens to have a lot of gluten free items on their menu. I had a chicken dish made with gluten free soy sauce. The fries were gluten free as they're made in a dedicated fryer. It's still good to ask though - they didn't make anything with flour that day, but I'm not sure if that's the case every day. The complimentary corn nuts they serve at the table are also gf, as well as their specialty Peruvian drinks (Miti Miti and Chicha Morada).
