El Olmito Mexican Grocery

Before I was diagnosed at the start of this year, I used to frequent this place quite often. I love their Tacos and was very saddened to see El Olmito was not on this App. I decided to take a risk and talk to the owner Teri who I know fairly well. And I communicated my celiac needs and the severity of my reaction to gluten. She was super helpful and accommodating and was willing to take care of my order completely on her own so that there would be no issue. I got the Al Pastor tacos (the meat is all made at the start of the day with a clean griddle) and Teri cleaned the griddle before heating up my corn tortillas. As long as you communicate with her, I have had no issues both times that I have been. This was before my diagnosis my favorite Mexican restaurant and now brings so much excitement as I get to add this to my very small list of restaurants I trust in Muscatine at this point.
