Review of El Pescaíto de Carmela

¡Que Rico! Delicious (primarily fish) restaurant in the touristy area by the cathedral. Very kind, fun staff. Tourist menus in English/French. Tolerate mediocre Spanish with great humor. The food, though, is magnificent. The fried stuff is all gluten free. Everything is extremely clearly marked in the menu. The fish is very fresh. I had monkfish with garlic and it was amazing. We also had the clams in a butter/olive oil sauce for a starter and it because it sounded really odd, we had fried milk (a custard, really) for dessert and it was terrific. Finally, sitting in the Calle, the people-watching is spectacular! If we were here longer I would definitely go to another of their restaurants. If you like fish and follow a gluten free diet, please give them a go. You won’t regret it.
