Went with my family to eat here based on FMGF reviews. The waitress was nice but didn’t know what gluten was. She went to ask the chef who told her NOTHING on the menu is gluten free, and that the seasoning they use on everything contains wheat. She offered to make me a plain salad - no meats. So that’s what’s for dinner, I guess.

We visited on our drive to Colorado from Texas. Glad to patronize a local restaurant on Cinco de Mayo and finding a GF one was important as I have celiac. Our server was very good and double checked the GF content of items I was considering. The tortilla chips ARE fried in the same oil that flour tortilla’s are fried in. I had the Taco El Pastor with no I’ll effects now 24 hours later.

I called ahead and they confirmed they could do gluten and dairy free. When we arrived she said only the flour tortillas and rellenos contained gluten but conformed with the kitchen and they added that the rice has gluten. The chips are safe as the owner has celiac and fry’s the chips herself. The salsa is delish, the food was amazing! Vegan chiliqules, the guys all had tacos or burritos, enchilads and more. Angie G was our waitress and went above and beyond especially when my youngest and mine came with cheese she remedied immediately. Great food for a fair price!

My husband and I both got sick here. The waitstaff didn't seem very willing to accommodate even though we came during off-peak hours. (Lots of dirty looks and shrugged shoulders.) I give 3 stars because the food was absolutely delicious, but I was sick within minutes of eating. Too bad, because we really enjoyed the food! I suspect the chips!! I ordered the beef taco plate (without rice- contains gluten) and guacamole with chips.

Found them because of this app so decided to stop on our way through Amarillo. Loved it so much, we stopped again on our way through Amarillo a week later! I was told that the owner is gluten free, so they know what precautions need to be taken. Very few menu items contain gluten, and the chips are fried in a separate fryer. My first visit I had tacos and my second visit I has enchiladas. All gluten free and all delicious. If I am ever in Amarillo again, I will stop for sure!

Super delicious food! I'm still not sure if the chips were ok, the waiter didn't seem to know if they had a separate fryer for gf things. Other than that, everything was tasty!

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Delicious chunky guacamole. The red and green chile sauces are NOT thickened with flour (like so many Mexican restaurants do). We tried the Barbados beef tacos and the green chile stew with pork. Both were excellent. The charros frijoles are delicious. Maybe the best Mexican food we've ever had!
