For real, an out of the way, hole-in-the-wall Mexican place adjoining a gas station. Not a chain. Small and tight quarters. Maybe 4-5 tables inside and 4 outside. With a tabby cat that just delivered kittens and hides them in the woods. Amazingly warm service. Waiter bent over backwards for us. Example: we asked what else was fried in the same oil as the chips, they said once in a while a chimichanga. But then he offered without us asking to change all the oil in one of the fryers, so that we could have chips without contamination. And he did it. Another example, the waiter ran us through what would and would not have gluten, and all the ingredients and preparation for the food and that made us feel safe. Like we were guests in his home. Many options that are or can be made GF. When the food came out, the waitress told us he had cleaned the grill for our food without us asking. We felt very comfortable here and the food was delicious and tasty to boot and seemed authentic. They made modifications not just for us but also kids plates. Did not get sick. Looking forward to many more trips.
