Elephant and The Dove

I wanted to give 5 stars, I love this restaurant. I have 2 kids recently diagnosed with Celiacs. We called ahead, they have GF tortillas, chips and fryer. When we ordered, the waitress told us the fryer is not safe for Celiacs, that food with gluten had been put in the fryer. Since we called ahead, we complained. We don’t go out much and this was a special occasion for our family of 5 and we would have gone elsewhere. The manager came to us to apologize to us and our daughters and said what happened is unacceptable. She brought us a platter of fresh vegetables on the house. We will go back, as the manager was sincere and tried to make us happy. I will post another review when we do go back. FYI…my daughter loved her GF Carnitas tacos!

Very happy with my enchiladas verdes. The restaurant is very eclectic and beautifully decorated as well. Quite a few gluten-free options on the menu that are clearly marked.
