They were able to alter the items on the menu for me. I was initially told the shrimp and grits were safe. However they ended up letting me know the shrimp and grits are not GF since the grits contain flour. Most of the appetizers are not able to be done GF. The waitress tried to help us the best she could but it was definitely awkward and cumbersome. Probably would not recommend this to someone with celiac due to the miscommunication about the shrimp and grits. Definitely made me a little nervous. I would go elsewhere if you have gluten allergy, sensitivity, and/or celiac.

The bartender was excellent in helping me select my dinner. We ordered shrimp and grits for our appetizer. The grits were very creamy and cheesy. The shrimp were perfectly seasoned. Dinner was scallops and risotto and was amazing. We ended our evening with crème brûle, which was perfect. So glad we stopped here for dinner!

We stopped in for breakfast; it wasn’t anything special, but it was good. I ordered Eli’s breakfast with GF toast; however, they were out of GF bread so my server gave me additional bacon. Can’t go wrong with yummy bacon!!

I think what puts them on the breakfast map is their brunch beverages. I didn’t order anything, but many people did.

The breakfast potatoes are not GF. Went from 5 stars to 3.

Edit: dropping to 2 stars. Our waiter was messing around on his phone while we were waiting to order food.

Charleston has a lot of great restaurants so on a relative basis this restaurant is “ok” but not among the best. Our server was unimpressive and we felt we had to work hard to decipher what was GF. My grouper was only partially cooked so had to be sent back for proper cooking. They come around with random trays of free appetizers which was a nice surprise.

No gluten free menu but they were very accommodating and the food was good and the service was great. Quaint little place with a nice patio area. The prices weren't bad so I'm not sure why the listing on here shows 4$.
