Fun place, was hoping they had more GF options. Not many and was told they make bread in house so cross contamination could be present. I have the salmon salad and it was good and big. I did not get sick.

First time at Ella’s. Great experience. They took very special care and provided me with a great meal. In addition to being celiac, I also cannot tolerate dairy. They accommodated both!
ETA: Second visit at Ella’s was not such a great experience. Apparently, the cook on that night was a bit cranky about special orders. I ordered a simple grilled chicken breast with salt & pepper, lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side, (a chicken sandwich, no bun) and a side of cole slaw. I received a piece of shoe leather that I couldn’t cut into, and shredded cabbage without dressing (the lovely waiter had assured me it was made with coconut milk and was GF & DF.)
I thought it was funny at the time, because as a Celiac pt., it was my worst restaurant meal yet, and I have learned to have a sense of humor about these things. At least I wasn’t glutened! My husband was not as amused, but I let it go. We clearly just can’t eat at Ella’s - since it’s hit or miss. It’s really a shame, because my husband and daughter had amazing meals, and it’s a really nice local spot.
If you are Celiac or intolerant, try our favorite Seminole Heights restaurants. I will add them on the app.
First is Olde Heights Bistro on Nebraska, it is a hole in the wall with 2 chefs that literally will blow your mind. They take great care with allergies. Talk to Phil, the main Chef and owner. He’s extremely nice and an amazing chef.
The other place is The Front Porch on Florida. Their GF & DF options are not expansive, so you have to work with them. It’s a family place, the food is very good, and I’ve never gotten sick from there either.

They are not Celiac friendly and do not have a gluten-free menu. One of the servers said she has a friend that is Celiac that cannot eat here because she gets sick, so we didn't even try.

I've been here a couple times. It was really good and I talked to helpful people who knew about celiac disease.
Despite clarifying needing GF meal with server "The Roots" still was not adequately prepared, and made me sick.
