Chef Charles understands celiac disease since his sister has this disease. He has a dedicated fryer just for gluten free. He is EXTREMELY careful when cooking gluten free

We were down the street for a Figure Skating competition and were starving when our celiac was done skating. Someone at the competition recommended we try this place and I'm so glad she did! Our celiac child loved her grilled cheese. So far no reaction and it's been awhile!

Since I do not have a physical reaction, I have to rely on what other people say about restaurants. The reviews here made me feel comfortable trying this one. My server was very understanding and attentive, and double checked on the thousand island dressing and the preparation of the asparagus to ensure that my whole meal was safely gluten free. I had the turkey Rachel sandwich on gluten-free bread and it was delicious. Although I could have gotten french fries because of their dedicated fryer, I opted for the roasted asparagus which was also delicious. Because of the up charges for gluten-free bread and subbing the asparagus it was not an inexpensive meal but it was well worth it.

Our waitress was knowledgeable and responded well to my questions about gluten and cross contamination. I was able to have fries (!!) on a steak salad—yum. Very friendly and responsive staff. Felt like eating at a family restaurant with good food and friendly attentiveness.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant and want to offer up a warning to other celiac customers. After reading the good reviews I went here while on a business trip. Both myself and my friends were treated very rudely by the waiter. We asked for water, just regular water and instead of bringing out water like we asked for, we were served a terrible tasting fruit infused drink. When we asked what we were drinking and why we were not served water we were simply told, "because this is a fine dining restaurant." When I asked if the water was safe for someone with celiac, I got a confused look, I clarified, "It's like an extreme gluten allergy." The waiter sarcastically responded with, "I don't know is there gluten in fruit?"

In addition to this, our car door had been left open on accident and was announced loudly to the restaurant by the same rude waiter. To which we were made fun of by the staff and other customers eating at the time. This kind of behavior simply is uncalled for.

Following this, we were served some of the blandest food I've ever tasted, and I was already was dealing with an allergic reaction. When asked if I enjoyed my meal, I told the manager "No I didn't, and I'm having an allergic reaction to the water I was served." Instead of offering any kind of help, or expressing concern. I was told, "well other gluten free customers don't have this problem."

Needless to say, I will not be back to this place. Maybe it was the staff of the day, but I offer up my warning to others seeking a safe place that will treat you right.

Amazing food!!! All the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The owner has family with celiac so everything is carefully maintained. The menu has all the gluten free options clearly marked, and there's always breads (and deserts!) in house. There are dedicated fryers as well. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries and the chocolate torte!

By golly, gluten free food in Ebensburg! Their gf menu is extensive; they even have a dedicated fryer, and gluten free potato soup. (Try to find gluten free soup other than chili.) I'll be going back.

I have eaten here several times and it is usually great. They have a separate fryer for fries and offer a huge menu of GF items. They do make the occasional mistake: I ordered a GF buffalo chicken sandwich for lunch today and something wasn't GF.
