It has moved up the street about half a mile. Sorry for not putting the new address on. Was hungry when we walked there. Now hangry.
After spending money at this place every day since we got here, we were kicked out of the far end of their outside patio for my husband’s taco eating habit. Yep. I just bought drinks and dessert there, my husband came over to eat tacos that had horribly offensive meat on them and they kicked us off their patio (that was completely empty) after spending $20 there and TIPPING because they are a “cruelty free” zone. Of course in 2 hours they turn into carnivore heaven when the pizza place opens at the same spot. The owner of the pizza establishment was very apologetic and they will be getting 5 stars. But the young lady who kicked us out of the patio of Evolution Bakery and Cafe unfortunately delivered a horrible experience for us. Sadly because they offer an amazing product. But I have to rate the entire experience which was absolutely awful. Unless your 100% vegan and surround yourself with people who feel EXACTLY like you do. Don’t go there!!
They heavily advertise gluten free items but I asked about soy as I have a soy allergy and they weren’t sure about that and then proceeded to say “you know we say gluten free and we try our best to keep things separate but you never know” so I just left at that point. Just don’t see the point in advertising GF if you aren’t 100% certain.
The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. Yes, they have non-GF items as well but different cooking surfaces, cases, and take extreme caution with gf items. Three celiacs in my family; we ate there three different times over our week vacation. Not one of us got sick. We had pancakes, bagels, and several savory treats over the week. Totally delicious!

They make baked goods without wheat in a cross contaminated environment. What’s the point then?
The gf pancakes are so delicious my partner who’s not celiac loved them. Definitely recommend you go there.

So hard to find GF bakery items in the Islands. We had cookies... they were OK, a little flavorless but was nice to have something fresh and not from a package.
I visited the bakery twice for cookies. So nice to find fresh baked items that are gluten free, and kept in a separate case from other baked items!
Bagels ok, tasted more like English muffins. Whole bakery is vegan, so cream cheese is vegan, too. Lots of reading materials on going vegetarian.
Knowledgeable friendly staff. Lots of gluten free options and all vegan.
Not sure how this can be safe when they cook with gluten in the same kitchen daily

Celiac friendly! Amazing pancakes and smoothies are a perfect way to start your day! We ended up going here for breakfast two out of our five days on the Big Island. Amazing!

Wauw please go here if you're in Kona. they have 3 different gluten free bagels, pancakes, lots of cookies and pizza. yummie!
Gluten free but definitely shares a kitchen with a pizza place. Flour is everywhere so make sure you state you are celiac and they will take extra precautions.
wonderful staff and amazing bagels
Amazing food and the staff was very accommodating. I can't have gluten, dairy, or soy and they made me gluten free vegan pancakes with almond milk instead of soy in the batter. I was full after the first one but couldn't stop eating!! My family also got the bagels which were the best gf bagels I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend

Our son said they were the best GF pancakes he ever had!!!

Reviews say Celiac friendly but when I walked up to the counter they said in all seriousness "Then I suggest you leave immedately because gluten is flying all around here. Leave right now." I thought it was a joke at first but he was serious (and incredibly rude). NOT CELIAC SAFE.
No
upfront: I ate a bagel from here (along with pizza from Get Sum on same day) and had food poisoning. I don't know if the food poisoning was from the bagel or pizza (but I bet pizza). OTHERWISE...I had cookies from this joint a couple days in a row and they were very good. wish they serve breakfast longer, as I was never able to try it, and that they had a few more GF treats (its mainly cookies), but not a bad stop.

The Gandhi is my favorite.
Love this place! Great gf pancakes. The latte is tasty with coconut milk. Lots of gf treats as well.

Awesome! I love the date bars and all the gluten-free options here.

We were very happy with the food at the bakery and the pizza. I can eat gluten but my family cannot. I could not tell the difference between the regular and gluten free pancakes. Lots of other GF baked goods too. The pizza was large with a thin & crispy crust that tasted great! They were careful about avoiding cross contamination and none of my family members got sick. Highly recommend this place!

Great bagels! Pancakes looked great, but tree nut allergy kept us from trying them (almond flour)
Delicious GIANT GF cookies with GF/vegan cookie options! We stopped in every morning for GF/vegan peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips-- the moistest, yummiest I've ever had! Chewy GF bagels, and kombucha on tap! My boys and I were in heaven :)

I went in and had breakfast there and I got the warrior sandwich on a gluten free bagel! It was amazing! It was the first time I had a bagel since being gluten free! I even bought more bagels to take home with me!
I was so excited to go try this place out. Gluten free bagels are only available until 1130. They were out of gluten free flour for their pizza. They had huge gluten free cookies, but I wasn't interested in sweets. Left disappointed.
