Familiars Coffee & Tea

The cashier was very knowledgable about what was gluten free. He also mentioned that they can prepare gluten free food in a separate room, which contradicts a previous review - might be a new thing? They do not have a gluten free toaster. Food and coffee were delicious!

They have gf bread and salads, however NOT celiac friendly. I talked to the owner and he mentioned that anyone with a severe sensitivity should *not* eat here. They don’t have separate prep areas or toaster for allergens, and flour/crumbs are all over the place. He said drinks are no problem though!

Has plenty of sandwiches that cater to vegetarian and vegan eaters. All/most sandwiches can be made on GF bread. Be aware of shared toaster (employee was aware and asked if that was okay when we requested toasted sandwich). GF bread was good. Sandwiches are also good here!! The tempeh bacon is very flavorful for non meat eaters.
