We chose to check out Farm House based on the first review and our experience was the exact opposite. I’m giving it two stars because eventually I was able to get a salad worked out that was tasty and I did not get glutened.

We arrived and looked over the menu—nothing was marked gluten free. It took 45 minutes to get a server to help us (they kept passing responsibility back and forth each time we asked). At that point, I said I had Celiac and the server had absolutely no idea what that was. I explained it and I asked which of three entrees I was interested in would work for me. She had no clue. To her credit she talked to the head chef and returned with the news that none of the entrees were gluten free and none could be modified to be so. I could either get a plain piece of meat pan fried with steamed veggies or I could get a salad with cold chicken. Not what I wanted but I was there with friends so that’s what I had to do.

I opted for the salad. It was good and fresh and I have not had a reaction.

The only Gf deserts were dairy based, which I can’t do. I wish more places would at least offer a sorbet.

The server was apologetic about the situation because I explained I chose the restaurant due to the positive review here. She reduced the cost of my salad which was a nice gesture. She explained they change the menu frequently (what we saw was not the one online).

So if you’re going to go, call and ask about the menu. If you have Celiac, I’d recommend going elsewhere. If you’re avoiding gluten for other reasons, you’ll be able to get a salad.

Staff very knowledgeable about gluten, and took great care with me. Most of their menu is naturally gluten free, and they totally understood how to avoid cross contamination. Even opened a new bottle of wine for me that was NOT oak barrel aged. No issues and dinner was outrageously delicious.
