Went in with the hopes of a GF meal. The menu showed GF on many places, however, the waitress said they don't have the GF buns or anything. I pointed out that the menu showed all GF but she shook her head no and she said we could get French fries, wings, or the cauliflower pizza. We left and went to EBC. Our waitress was GF and the menu was awesome! On a positive note, Finnerty's does have a GF designated fryer.

The food was delicious! They had gluten free pizza (cauliflower crust), wings, bread/buns, cider on tap, and a dedicated gluten free fryer! I had the Reuben on GF bread and it was fabulous. I have Celiac and am pretty sensitive and did not feel icky afterward so think I avoided any cross contamination which is always a win. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in Elicottsville again!

Just a heads up that this restaurant is under new ownership and new kitchen staff. Previous owner and kitchen focused on strict gluten free protocols, and the new staff is / may not have the same standards. Be sure to do your due diligence and ask the appropriate questions as normal.

Was just there tonight after leaving another restaurant in Ellicottville that didn't have gluten free options. This was the best decision of the weekend. A+ recommended. Wife is Celiac and had cauliflower pizza. Perfect. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch. Plus staff is awesome.

So knowledgeable! I forgot to say gluten free for meatballs but because of the rest of the order they fixed it for us. Daughter of the owner and waitstaff are celiac and were willing to talk and make sure that we were comfortable!

Changing my review bc there is NEVER enough staff and gluten free options are the first to go. We’ve tried to go twice and both times the only options have been chicken wings and French fries.

The foodie in me was just reborn and died and went to heaven all in the same meal. Our stop at Finnerty’s was the first dining experience that has made me feel “normal” since my Celiac diagnosis. They are diligent about gluten free and cross contamination and will tell you so. We ordered burgers and fries (they have a dedicated fryer). The burger arrived with a gluten free marker and upon visual inspection of the bun I could tell it had gf qualities, but the obviousness ended there. I tell you this was one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life, even before going gluten free. The flavors all melded, the bun texture was fabulous. The staff were friendly and made us feel at home. I will admit I shed tears at being able to enjoy a dining experience the way I used to be able to. If you’re ever in Ellicottville or the nearby area Finnerty’s Tap Room is where it’s at! Can’t wait to go back, again and again. I would return to this area just for this establishment.💕

Had some fries and wings after a hike, had lots of options. Can’t wait to try more. The chef came out and said that his mother and daughter have celiacs and he couldn’t own a place where they couldn’t eat at. So he just wanted to let me know that I can eat safe at his place and continue throughout my day. Highly recommend when you are in the area.

This place is a gem. Chef has gluten free family and food shows! So many options! I didn't know what to pick first. I had reuben " meatballs" which were a tasty app and then I split Nashville hot ( real gf fried chicken, yum!) And a beef on weck with my husband. They both came with French fries in a dedicated fryer!! Finished it off with a gf chocolate flour less cake. OMG. Can't wait to try fish fry on Fridays.

Hands down the best and most gluten free options ever in Ellicottville. The owner spoke to us directly as they take the gluten free situation very serious as his daughter is celiac.. Its nice having options other than just pizza. They use a separate fryer and workspace. All the items on the menu that can be made gluten free are labeled GF. Definitely try it out, you will not be disappointed. They also do not charge extra for substitute gf.

The owner Billy Finnerty and his staff are very knowledgeable about GF. The Chef/Co-Owner personally came out and sat with us and went over the menu and reassured us that they take GF personally (family members GF). He would/could make anything that Erin wanted on the menu GF. -Choices included chicken wings, French fries (separate fryer in a separate area) various appetizers, pizza, custom burgers, beef on weck, Mac and cheese, club sandwiches, French onion soup, nachos, Reuben meatballs, Asian cuisine etc. Everything was amazing. Erin was soooo happy to be able to pick anything that she wanted. Our dinners were terrific. (Reuben meatball appetizers were great). Worth the ride down there!

The wings were amazing! Such a treat to have wings available in a dedicated fryer. They also have a great GF bun for beef on weck.

The best gluten free restaurant in Ellicottville! The nachos are great. They have a turkey club sandwich that is phenomenal and their fryer is gluten free so you can enjoy crisp French fries or big chicken wings. Did I mention free popcorn and the best service around? I’ll be back!

My husband was very excited to have wings and fries since these are almost always off limits. I am sorry to say that he somehow got whacked anyway, we ordered off GF menu the onion soup, wings and fries. Tasted good but not GF.

Finnerty's servers and chef are knowledgeable about gluten intolerances. They have gluten free buns for burgers, red bridge beer, and other gluten free dishes on their menu. It is great to have this option in Ellicottville, NY.
