FINNS Island Style Grub in St. Andrews

I’m newer to my celiac diagnosis, so ordering in restaurants still feels like a lot and is very intimidating, especially at a place like this where you order at a walk up window with a line behind you, but the guy taking orders was great and made it really easy. When we asked about gluten allergy practices he let us know the ahi tuna was the only thing on the menu with gluten and that the corn tortillas were all fine. Also said they’d wear fresh gloves and use a side of the cooktop off to the side for my order. I didn’t ask if that side is used for gluten items or not, but I had no reaction and the food was delicious so I would trust it enough to go back. We had shrimp tacos and fish tacos, both fantastic.

Ate at Finn’s Barista Bar and the granola is a must have. Lady at the counter knew everything that was gluten free and I got a smoothie bowl + an iced coffee and everything was great!

This has become a go-to for us! The tacos are great and we’ve never had an issue. My daughter and I aren’t celiac, but we are pretty sensitive and this is one of our favorite local spots!

Tacos are amazing and so is the vibe! I made sure to tell the guy at the window that I had an allergy and he reassured me I would be taken care of. Didn't get sick and it was soooo good! Also the barista bar was great! Get the kombucha!

The employee who took our order told us they specifically designed their menu to be accommodating of gluten free/dairy free/vegetarian needs. The menu is not marked, but the only items that contain gluten are the ahi tuna and flour tortillas. They use Tostitos tortilla chips and do not fry them. I had the carne asada tacos on corn tortillas; others in our party ordered the island style nachos and the burritos bowls with chicken added to all. All of the food was very good. This restaurant is all out-door seating with a walk-up window for ordering, and they offer bottled drinks or Jones sodas by fountain. Great place for a casual lunch!

Came here for the good reviews. Husband and son are celiac but asymptomatic so we can’t judge this place that way. However, the food was delicious. It’s very casual. You order your food at the cashier and they bring it to your table. We had the carne asada tacos in corn tortillas and they were fantastic. Staff seemed knowledgeable and were very friendly. Their chips are tostitos in individual bags.

Three of our party were GF...we had steak tacos, chicken tacos, queso, guacamole & salsa & chips. All the food was good but the steak was outstanding. Staff was friendly, patient & knowledgeable. We definitely make a return visit!

CHECK OUT THE BARISTA BAR! We stopped by FINNS Barista Bar for breakfast. I had the Energizer smoothie (swapped out the nut milk for coconut milk). Others in the group (not GF) had the Açaí bowls and I was told the granola is GF. LOVE THIS PLACE!

You must eat here! Great gluten free options. Staff knowledgeable. Great food and atmosphere! Also, visit their coffee shop. You will not regret it.

The best Carne Asada tacos I have ever had! Steak pieces were large and the tacos were stuffed full. Since all of the food is cooked on the same cooktop, they made my food in a separate skillet to avoid cross contamination.

The girl at the window will get the manager or chef to let you know what the ingredients are in the menu items you're considering. Ask them to put tin foil on the grill before toasting your tortillas and you're good to go. I had the jerk chicken tacos, they were delicious. It is a shared kitchen, so keep that in mind if you're super sensitive.
