This establishment has very nice staff and is family owned. I had an issue with an order at one point and they went out of their way to get it right. The place itself isn’t aesthetically pleasing but the food is excellent. Everything is dairy free and MOST items on the menu can be ordered gluten free! No MSG. There is a small extra charge for gluten free.

This is NOT a dedicated gluten-free restaurant and there’s no gluten-free menu. I know because I live 3 blocks away from it, and my very picky, non-celiac partner orders their sesame chicken all the time and it’s very much breaded in standard wheat flour. I’ve even called two different times to ask about GF preparation and there was a language barrier the first time, and then it was a Friday evening the second time and the woman was very impatient with me to hurry up and order. The third time I just went down in person. They do seem to offer gluten-free options, but the the kitchen is small and all “gluten-free” items are cooked within the same vicinity as the non-gf food, so there’s definitely cross-contamination. The 3 times I’ve tried to eat there I’ve ended up with a headache 15 minutes after my meal and the runs in the morning. I WISH my experience was like so many other people’s reviews because I live so close by, but I have gotten sick from their food every time I’ve tried to eat it, which is 3X now. I’m done.

I saw great reviews on here and when I called to ask about cross contamination protocols the lady had no idea anything about gluten plus the language barrier was tough. However the manager seemed to know a bit more. I took a chance and ordered online and put gluten allergy no cross contamination as I am sensitive. When I got there the lady seemed to know a bit more then the people I talked to on the phone and gave me gf soy sauce. I did not get sick and it was amazing. I just wish ALL the workers understood there about gluten free as the first worker had no idea what I was talking about.

Visited today for lunch. Food was amazing. It was our first time to have Chinese food since our diagnoses of Celiacs 8 years ago. Small family run local takeaway with a few tables. Lady owner really knows her stuff and takes great care. 2 of our family of 6 have celiacs. We ordered edamame, sautéed broccoli in GF soy sauce, fried chicken rice and Szechuan crispy chicken. The rest of our party loved their food too. Huge portions so lunch tomorrow😎. I am extremely sensitive and so good so far - I normally react within a few hours so feeling pretty positive. The shop is a little run down but the food is amazing. We will differently be back.

We've been coming here for years. We've ordered takeout 20+ times. I reviewed this place over 2 years ago and decided to post an update. If you have celiac, you need to eat here. We are so fourtunate to live only 15 minutes away, and we come here often. I would drive an hour for my kids to be able to eat safely. The owner, Mae, is wonderful and totally understands cross contamination, gluten, etc. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Tell her "Tim" sent you!

There food is flavorful and I’d go back again. A lot of gluten free options tho it’s $1.5 extra to make it gluten free. All the ingredients in my dish tasted fresh and cooked to the correct level so it’s just crunchy enough — not soggy and not undercooked.

The place is pretty small only two tables mainly a take out place. Not a whole lot of traffic. Only have been once so not sure if it’s an off day for them for a Saturday night. But I’ll let that speak for itself.

The Chinese food you remember from Before Celiac. Order it now! General Tso’s chicken, fried up crispy in a sticky sweet sauce. The Black Pepper Chicken is sweet and shatteringly crisp. Fried rice does not appear to contain egg (I eat eggs), but is pretty good. GF items clearly marked. Ordered chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp dishes. No issues. Just happy.

Total game changer. I have celiac and I haven't gotten sick eating here. Food is delicious - my husband and I love it so much we get dinner here a couple times a month. The owner is great. I went in and talked to her about gluten cross contact, pan sharing, etc etc and she put my mind at ease.

I used to always order the sesame chicken when I ate here but on a whim tried the Mongolian beef. Best thing. It was so good it's my new go to order.

I haven’t had Chinese takeout in over 5 years since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This place is a game changer! I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and it was delicious! Tasted just like I remember it. Waited until the following morning to write a review and didn’t get sick. They have a lot of other options such as Sesame and General Tso’s chicken. Their online menu indicates which items can be made gluten free (it’s $1 extra). When I picked up the food, the owner verified that my meal was gluten free and labeled the containers. I hadn’t had Chinese food for years before I found Fire Wok. I am so happy I finally found somewhere safe for celiacs. I’ve eaten here twice and haven’t gotten sick. The general tso’s chicken is awesome. It tastes exactly the way I remember pre-celiac.

I did an online order and was very pleased with their gluten free selections. They also include a section where you can write in special notes like having celiac. When I picked up the order the cashier made a point of repeating back our order and also pointing out that they made sure to give me GF fried rice. When comparing it to the other rice you could definitely see the difference but everything was still delicious!
