The company that runs first watch will not provide gluten information at the restaurant. You have to look at their website to know what can be made gluten-free. This is a change in corporate policy (not this restaurant location's fault) and is moving backward from where the rest of the world is going.
Portions are entirely too small for what you pay for. Service wasn't that great either. Will not be back.
This is the first restaurant we went to after finding out my husband had celiac and we were very nervous. The server walked us through our options, which were plentiful, and was so very helpful. We are now regulars there and love it. hopefully they'll put together a gluten-free menu to make the experience easier for others.
The server told me that they are unsafe for celiacs.
Food is great and the restaurant is very careful with cross contamination. The staff could use a little education though and can be a little pricey.
Our experience at this restaurant was awesome. Service was great. Our server was attentive to our desire to eat gf. Marissa (our server) even went the extra mile to go to the freezer and check if the bacon was nitrate/nitrite free...and it was. What a great meal and experience. Highly recommend this place. No gf pancakes or breads but they're working towards it.
No gluten free gluten friendly menu I the facility was told it is on line. Looked on line and their new website didn't have anywhere that I could find that was gluten free noted. Luckily I've been gluten free long enough to know what and how to order here.
Only had a gluten free "guide", order normal food minus anything gluten containing. no substitutions. Lame.
Beverly, that's a paid ad by Pamela's pancake mix. It's a recipe and not an ad for the restaurant. I thought it was (also) for the restaurant until I clicked on it. I had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, avocado and fruit. I always tell the waiter wherever I eat I am gluten intolerant/Celiac and please let the chef know cross contamination will make me sick. I dined with non Celiac's who ordered with bread and we all enjoyed our meal and I am fine. We all thought it to be delightful and will go back.
There is no gluten free menu, reviews on here are old.
First Watch has two gluten free menus. The green one is difficult to use but the photocopy one is easy to use. Their omelets are really good. I have been there numerous times with never a problem and I have full classic celiac sprue.
This is NOT a gluten free friendly restaurant. They did not provide a menu, the wait staff was NOT friendly not knowledgable, and we were told to check the Internet. They have some options that don't contain gluten but eat at your own risk of cross contamination. I won't ever go to any of these establishments again.
There is no "Gluten-Free Menu" they have very slim options such as eggs and potatoes, but no full GF options. They do however have a gluten-free guide that says what there is that you can order without a english muffin or something to make it GF. The waitress was very argumentative about us claiming we read about the gluten-free menu and even checked the website to prove us wrong. After us conceding and saying we were wrong, she was delighted to serve us. Good restaurant, not gluten free.
Please be very careful if you decided to eat here. There were little piece of bacon in my meat free dish and I got sick. They just looked at me and shrugged.
Variety of GF options available. Was happy to hear that the breakfast potatoes were GF! No GF toast or pancakes available
I ordered an omelette off the GF menu with seasoned potatoes. The omelette was huge and after I ate it I commented that there must be a lot of eggs in there. The waitress said she only thought there may be 2-3 eggs. I wondered what else could have made them so fluffy? My stomach later told me that they may have used done kind of flour. I suffered for a few days. Beware!!!!
This is a frequent venue for us and we enjoy the lakeside tables when it is not too hot. You need to be very specific with your order, eg: "No English muffin, but I would like the breakfast potatoes" and that seems to work just fine. It would be helpful to have a gluten-free menu rather than a list of what to avoid. However, I have never been glutened here and we always enjoy our visits.
Today we decided to do a gluten free lunch! We looked for a restaurant in Stuart FL using the App for the first time! This restaurant in does not do Pamela's gf pancakes! The waiter has a sister eating gluten free so knew what we were looking to eat. He was personable and excellent but could not guide us through the menu. Very disappointing! First Watch, if you post on the gf app, please have what is advertised or redo your post! Disappointed!
Beware if you are gluten-free. The waitress told me something was gluten free when I specifically asked her and it was not, she wrote "gluten free" all over the ticket that went back to the kitchen and the chef didn't even know that what he was providing me was not gluten free (or he didn't care) and I later found out from their web-page that the item I ordered clearly had gluten in it.
So I saw on this app it leads to believe this restaurant uses Pamela's Gluten Free Baking Mix, thinking they would have gf pancakes or waffles. So I went and asked for the gf menu, but all I got was one of those allergy menus where you have to look at the "wheat" section and see which is safe. Only a handful of items stated there was no wheat, and they were just side items. Nothing mentioned of pancakes or waffles. I just ordered bacon, eggs, and potatoes. It was good but I was disappointed in the very little options for gf, especially with no pancakes or waffles. And I'm not sure how their strictness is on cross contamination, so I'm giving it a "No" for celiac friendly.
I am intolerant so I'm not sure about Celiac. I'm giving this three stars because, while the food that I had was good, I could have gone to Cracker Barrel for less money and more flavor. When I clicked on the gluten free menu online on my phone it kept showing me pancakes and waffles so I assumed they served gf pancakes and waffles. When we got there I found out I was wrong. It's just unclear on the mobile menu. The gf menu has every single menu item on it with "no bread" or "pancakes are not gf" which would have taken for ever to read. I just pieced together a bunch of sides since I can't eat eggs either. If you can eat eggs and dairy this is still a good option. If you are looking for pancakes and waffles, sorry friends, this is not the place.
