Although it is true that First Watch does not offer specialty gluten-free items, the quality of other naturally gluten-free dishes is great. I can tolerate trace amounts of cross-contamination and so there were plenty of fruit, breakfast meat, and egg options available for non-Celiacs like me. I am unsure if it is Celiac friendly due to any possibility of cross-contamination in the kitchen.

We ate at First Watch on Saturday morning for the first time. Luckily there was outdoor seating, as the minute we walked in we were hit by freezing cold temperature - we would've froze outside.I have celiac disease, so I checked the menu online before we went. I saw a few potentially good options, so yay! Before we were seated I asked for the gluten free menu. I was told that they didn't have one available, that I'd need to look it up on my phone. Ok.So we were seated outside, and off to my phone I went to look and see what I wanted to eat. Near impossible. Seriously, try it. I had to find where the gluten free options were and try and match it up to the menu. But all dishes for all locations are listed online and not on the menu. Plus there's a lot of info on-line - was almost impossible to figure out certain things - is there a dressing that is gluten free? Luckily, our waitress hung in there with me as I attempted to find something I could eat, and make it completely gluten free (can I sub potatos for the toast?). The rest of the family ordered their food, too.Coffee was ok. Just ok. My son didn't like the apple juice (odd, he likes most).Food wasn't particularly hot unfortunately, just warm. I liked my food though. I wish I could tell you exactly what I had (omelette of sorts with bacon, cheese, salsa and sour cream dolup on top), but when I just went to check back on the menu online, I can't even find it. I guess I'm finding the online menu confusing.Husband and kids like their food. Guess i need to write my reviews right after I eat next time for more specifics.Anyway - a BIG THANK YOU to First Watch for having gluten free options. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. But PLEASE, could you have a printed menu to order from? We'd love to come back, and hopefully have a bit warmer food (since it seems to be a recurring problem per other reviews).

Great breakfast and brunch food. The kitchen completely changes gloves and pans for all food allergies (including eggs). Waiter was nice, and staff let me choose substitutions for accompaniments on menu (like getting vegetables instead of toast).

I'm incredibly disappointed in their gluten fee menu, which is really an allergy ingredient menu. Allergen identification menus are useful, however they mark their omelets as containing wheat, because it comes with an English muffin. Stupid!  Also they note that no bread products, waffles, or pancakes can be made gluten free.  That is understandable, yet very disappointing no gluten free bread option offered. Maybe contamination risk is too high. How do other places manage? Servers are very nice and accommodating, but very disappointed in menu!

No separate GF menu. They hand you a paper list describing every item on the menu that you have to sift through for whether or not the dish is safe. Server completely unaware what the term GF or condition celiac even meant, unable to describe if they can take precautions for patrons with allergy. Brought my omelet out with a bread roll on the plate. Had to send it back. Server laughed when he brought out my dish for the second time saying "I almost forgot and put bread on it again!" Not safe for celiacs. Won't return. Won't ever risk going here again.

The company that runs first watch will not provide gluten information at the restaurant. You have to look at their website to know what can be made gluten-free. This is a change in corporate policy (not this restaurant location's fault) and is moving backward from where the rest of the world is going.

This is the first restaurant we went to after finding out my husband had celiac and we were very nervous. The server walked us through our options, which were plentiful, and was so very helpful. We are now regulars there and love it. hopefully they'll put together a gluten-free menu to make the experience easier for others.

Beverly, that's a paid ad by Pamela's pancake mix. It's a recipe and not an ad for the restaurant. I thought it was (also) for the restaurant until I clicked on it. I had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, avocado and fruit. I always tell the waiter wherever I eat I am gluten intolerant/Celiac and please let the chef know cross contamination will make me sick. I dined with non Celiac's who ordered with bread and we all enjoyed our meal and I am fine. We all thought it to be delightful and will go back.

There is no "Gluten-Free Menu" they have very slim options such as eggs and potatoes, but no full GF options. They do however have a gluten-free guide that says what there is that you can order without a english muffin or something to make it GF. The waitress was very argumentative about us claiming we read about the gluten-free menu and even checked the website to prove us wrong. After us conceding and saying we were wrong, she was delighted to serve us. Good restaurant, not gluten free.

I ordered an omelette off the GF menu with seasoned potatoes. The omelette was huge and after I ate it I commented that there must be a lot of eggs in there. The waitress said she only thought there may be 2-3 eggs. I wondered what else could have made them so fluffy? My stomach later told me that they may have used done kind of flour. This is a frequent venue for us and we enjoy the lakeside tables when it is not too hot. You need to be very specific with your order, eg: "No English muffin, but I would like the breakfast potatoes" and that seems to work just fine. It would be helpful to have a gluten-free menu rather than a list of what to avoid. However, I have never been glutened here and we always enjoy our visits.

The waitress told me something was gluten free when I specifically asked her and it was not, she wrote "gluten free" all over the ticket that went back to the kitchen and the chef didn't even know that what he was providing me was not gluten free (or he didn't care) and I later found out from their web-page that the item I ordered clearly had gluten in it.
