Definitely not focused on a gluten or allergy free experience. Even when you and the entire table ensure the waitress is paying attention to get the order correct she blames The customer for her error and then proceeds to lie to her manager and to become a drama queen when she lies to her manager about making the error but leaving the meal at the table. The solution after MUCH back and forth was to give us the meal in a to go Bag as they were way more worried about the wait staff who made the error than the customer That they gave the wrong order to. When I say wrong order I mean beyond grilled versus fried but even the side. Also one manager refused to get the owner involved which it clearly asks for on many responses on other referrals. If you have allergies this is NOT the place for you. Care is not given and when asked to correct it will become an issue of who is paying g for the incorrect food.

The managers are young and along with the servers lacking the appropriate maturity to handle the liability of the matter……

These folks know what they are doing and how to keep us safe. The food is delicious and they have a great bar menu. The setting is beautiful next to the lake. They even have a huge sandbox.

Super impressed with Fish Tales. I called before we went and the staff was very familiar with Celiac and said they have special menus and the kitchen staff was very knowledgeable. When we arrived, the hostess had a manager come talk to us to reassure us (I didn’t even ask!). My daughter has Celiac and loved the mahi mahi fish tacos with corn tortillas. So happy to have a fun place to eat on the lake.

Updated- 5/22/19 Came back again and told our server of our daughter’s Celiac. Our server reiterated how serious they take food allergies. They are required to notify the kitchen manager and they prepare the food completely separate and bring it out separate with special gloves and plates. She said that servers who do not take it seriously are fired. And the food is sooo good!
