Review of Fit Foodz Cafe

Right when I walked in I saw their gluten free desserts all mixed in and touching with regular desserts. I really wanted to believe they were safe for Celiacs but I immediately felt like they only had gluten free options to appeal to fad diets for weight loss.

I remained optimistic as their menu had many options labeled GF. I explained to my waitress that I have Celiac Disease and I can’t have any cross contamination. She didn’t seem to understand the severity of it so to be safe I said I have a severe gluten allergy. She said ok, and I hoped for the best. Later on my friends ordered regular cake and the same waitress gave me a spoon so I could have some. It was then that I came to the conclusion that this place is ok for those with a mild gluten intolerance but probably not the best for Celiacs.

I got a Buddha bowl for my meal (in terms of taste, it wasn’t anything special) I wanted to believe it was safely made but I’m not sure. My friends’ regular sandwiches came out stacked on top of my gluten free meal. You won’t miss out much if you don’t come here.
