These guys have the best burgers in Hutch hands down. Incredible charcoal-grilled flavor. Request your burger bunless but with all toppings and they will serve it in a bowl. Their bacon cheeseburger is to die for. Soo yummy. I have Celiacs and had no bad reactions afterwards.

The staff was not very knowledgable about what is and is not gluten free on the menu, however they were kind, were able to locate a allergen menu for me to order off of and did not cross contaminate my food. I had a burger wrapped in lettuce and a side of fries. Great food and I did not get sick from eating here.

Recommend but with caution. Everything is GF except the buns. Tell them you have a 'gluten allergy' when you order. They alert the whole kitchen and change gloves. Dedicated fryer and buns are grilled in separate space. Open kitchen where you can watch. Order burgers in bowl or as lettuce wrap or BYO. Very good! Got cheeseburger in bowl with grilled onions and mushrooms. Staff was very nice! Definitely watch them make it, though. I've had to send an order back once after they touched buns with their clean new gloves then touched my food, and I was glutened once in spite of watching.

They have separate grills for their burger patties and buns and if you say you are ordering gluten-free, they change their gloves. The fries are also gluten-free as they only fry fries in the fryer. You can get the burger wrapped in lettuce or in a tin.

I have celiac disease. Never been glutened here. Just tell them it's an allergy, and they'll change their gloves. The lettuce wrapped burgers are good, and so are the fries.

I went here and asked what they did to ensure that gluten free food was not contaminated the manager was very rude but assured me they didn't fry breaded items in the same fryer all other breaded items also that the grill never had bread on it. within an hour I was sick. I do think recommend this location

They will lettuce wrap the burger for you no problem and it is a great burger. The fries have made me sick even though they claim they are gluten free. Overall they are really good about cross contamination if you let them know.

I was craving a good burger and fries. Five guys in Portland,ME really did a great job! I told them I was highly allergic/sensitive to gluten. I was so nervous about getting sick. the manager came over and assured me they would change their gloves and I'd be safe. I've waited to review them in case I got sick, but even a couple of hours later I still feel great. they recommended putting my burger in a bowl, so nothing would touch my food. one person was designated to put together my order (burger and fries) and they changed their gloves. it was a great experience. I would comfortably go back again!

This five guys offers burgers in a lettuce wrap or a bowl with lettuce underneath the burger. The bowl is usually the best option since you can add peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes etc abs end up with a nice salad!

Five Guys is a fairly safe place for someone with Celiac Disease to eat. At this location when I said "no bun" and asked to put an allergy warning on the order, the cashier immediately said the cooks would change their gloves before handling my order. The cooks also are always facing you when making your order and you can verify they change their gloves before handling your order. I would be hesitant to get a shake without knowing how they protect against cross-contamination from the mix-ins

This may not be a fair review but I offer it just as a warning. I ate at the FG's in Warwick RI and I assume they are all the same when it comes to procedures. When asked about GF they said "yes, just safe fries in fryer and we wrap the burgers in lettuce". I knew since it was my first time it was a gamble but I toon the chance. The fries are delicious and so was the burger (lettuce wrap and all). When we were on our way home I felt it. Mild, but definitely there. Then I remember seeing my moms bun, it was grilled. Why I didn't realize this when I was eating I don't know. So, basically if this is their procedure, it's not safe for Celiac.

This location does well with GFree, changes gloves, etc. I get a cheeseburger in a tray (no bun, they do not have GFree buns) and plain fries. Watch out for toppings like lettuce/tomato (even cheese) bc they are in bins where they reach in with gloved hands that have been touching buns all day long. When I am craving fries, this is where I go.

Very friendly and great service. You can order your burger in a lettuce wrap or in a bowl. I prefer to order a bowl rather than a lettuce wrap. The bowl appears safer since your food never comes in direct contact with surfaces the wheat buns touch unlike the lettuce wrap. Staff will change gloves by request to further help minimize cross contamination. Plus they have a dedicated fryer for French fries.

Very GF and allergy friendly! They're constantly changing gloves. Great burgers! No buns but they're wrapped in a lettuce leaf (or in a bowl), which I like because it leaves room for their awesome fries. I got my burger and a giant bag of fries to go and used my own GF bun in my hotel. I'm extra careful and got the hamburger patty only, no condiments, because some locations spread them on with spatulas (that were used on buns) instead of using squeeze bottles. I don't know if this location does or not so you may want to check. To my knowledge all locations spread the mayo on so bring your own packets. The ketchup and mustard are sometimes safe from squeeze bottles. Great food, great service and friendly staff. FYI- I also can't have dairy and I follow a low-fodmap diet and Five Guys is one of the only places I can safely eat at. If you're low-fodomap too, skip the Cajun fries and hot dogs.
