I grew up eating here before celiac diagnosis and I wish they were better. Cross contamination cuts out a lot of options. Some of the seasons soups are safest, I have eaten the fish tacos made “gluten not” but def a risk. Potatoes for huevos are cooked in fryer. Hard to order online because no options to select “allergy” which means you may get some of the things you would want to omit when ordering in person such as crispy tortilla strips on soups or crispy chickpeas on salads.

Generally pretty safe but I have had my budda bowl come out with wontons and soy sauce and had to send it back and get a new one. They keep their gf desserts in the same case so I have never tried any of those but it could be worth asking how they handle cross-contamination on those.
I ordered an item off their gluten-free online menu and was told they were out. The women who took the ordered offered other options that were clearly not gluten-free. I settled on eggs and bacon. When my meal came out bread crumbs were on my plate even though I requested gluten-free. I kindly spoke to a kind staff member who apologized but no resolution was made. I felt silly that I drove 25 minutes each way to try this restaurant and felt embarrassed and shamed by my allergy.

I have had one good experience and one bad. Second time I visited I got very sick afterwards and there was obvious cross contamination somewhere. When I asked they said there was not much they could do to prevent it and even said they probably would not recommend to celiacs. Unfortunate because my last experience was great and the food is always good. I won't be back

Lots of gluten free options and knowledgeable staff. I had an omelet with a GF pancake that was great. Oddly, their omelets are not marked as GF on the menu, but they are. I double checked that they don’t put pancake batter in their omelets to make them fluffy like IHOP.

Flying Star offers a handful of gluten “not” menu items. They are not a dedicated GF establishment. The only GF options are in the salads and breakfast menu, unless you sub corn tortillas for flour, then giu can do some of their new Mexican entrees.
You walk up to order and I think they offer great customer service and are quite knowledgable. When I ordered their GF flap jacks the cashier went over the ingredients with me to make sure I could eat them- she started the conversation.
The flapjacks are fluffy and tasty with variety of seeds in them. I'll be back for these, I was pleasantly surprised.

Do not eat here if you are a Celiac, gluten sensitive, or have an allergy. Their gf cookies, muffins, etc are displayed right next to everything else. I have seen gluten free cookies on the same plate as regular ones, touching! They us the same pair of tongs to pick up everything from the case. I ordered their gluten free Tomato Bisque, they brought it out with croutons on it. After I complained and sent it back, they literally just scooped them out instead of getting me new soup. Will never get anything here.

The website literally says their food is not suitable for Celiacs. Fine for gluten sensitive folks but not for Celiacs..

I was told I could get a burrito without the tortilla because the Green Chile was GF. I was sick for two days. I am able to go here and build my own omelette with a GF pancake instead of toast without getting sick — just be sure to stick to items that are clearly marked as “gluten not” on the menu.
Fantastic! These folks seem to have a pretty decent grasp of celiac disease. While they aren't a gluten free facility, they do take care to let people know this fact. The manager that I spoke with was awesome and wanted to know more about celiac disease.
I had the posole. It's made at another location and is gluten free. It tasted great and didn't make me sick. We'll be back!
