This is a lovely day time cafe. They make most of what they serve in house and are open about the fact that the kitchen handles flour and gluten containing products. So there is some risk of cross contamination.
However, they have a dedicated area for gluten free preparation.
They use a separate fryer for chips (that are always gluten free) and have a separate toasting facilities for toasted sandwiches.
They used "goodness of grains" gluten free bread, which is stored separately. And available for all their sandwiches and French toast.
They also offer gluten free oats for porridge.
Their soup is always gluten free and then usually have gluten free meringues, brownies and caramel squares available every day.
The team are friendly and happy to help if you let them know your requirements.
I've been here often and have ordered:
Gluten free porridge - gorgeous made woth milk and cream and served woth maple syrup and berries.
French toast. Again served woth maple syrup and berries and I had a side of bacon.
Also for breakfast the avocado toast on gluten free served with a fried egg and bacon.
The hot sandwich is delicious - chicken brie and bacon woth caramelised onions with a salad and chips.
The caramel squares for dessert are so caramelly and yummy!
