I wanted to love Forest and Flour. We bought a baguette, a monkey bread, and were gifted a free brioche bun. This tallies up to almost $35. We were given an instruction card about how to preserve these items, warm in the oven, etc, and followed instructions exactly. We found all three to be quite dense— the baguette unpleasantly so. We could not finish the bun, it was flavorless and dense. The monkey bread had a very nice cardamom flavor, but again, so dense. The baguette, being $12, I did expect it to be the size of a $12 baguette. Unfortunately, Forest and Flour falls prey to the gf-tax, and the baguette was really a single-serve size. The staff were very pleasant and the offerings are diverse, but I just can’t get over the quality especially when it comes to price. At least the Canyon Bakehouse bread is fluffy and nice at that premium price! And you can get CB for just $9 for an entire loaf.
