It’s been a while since I tried to eat here. But the last time I did staff didn’t know what Celiac was or what gluten free meant. Was a hard pass for me at the time. That may have changed, but proceed with caution. Also, the website listed here is NOT correct, this Freebirds is NOT affiliated with the Freebirds chain of restaurants (the chain is owned by a corporation, this one is individually owned).

Great food. Does not appear to do anything to prevent cross-contamination.

Most things here are considered gluten free, except the tortillas and steak. I always get the nachos and have never gotten sick. (I went to college here for 4 years and have come back every year for 3 years to eat here)
Another user said that the correct website is not listed, but that is in fact the correct website. Freebs is a chain!

PEANUT OIL!
I had the nachos and they tasted great. I also have a peanut allergy and I am lucky I asked the right person because I didn’t see that they used peanut oil for the beans and rice. Just a heads up for any one who might have that allergy as well.
As far as gluten free they changed their gloves and helped avoid cross contamination :)

The staff was not knowledgeable about their gluten free opinions. They did not know if the nachos were gluten free and had no package there for me to check. The food is in a counter, so it has cross contamination.
No
Nachos are gluten free, steak may have marinate, but i just go with veggies (guac is free!)
