Review of Frenchy's Rockaway Grill

Do not eat here unless you want to get sick. They have a gluten-free menu but have no idea what they are doing. I ate here on 2 separate occasions; I ordered the seafood ceviche which should be naturally gluten free...just seafood marinated in lime juices. For some reason, they brought it out with some sort of chips on top. When I asked the food runner if these chips were fried separately from other breaded items, he responded "Yes, they were cooked in a dedicated fryer." With such confidence, I proceeded to eat, only to have the server run out and tell me there is no desisted fryer. I went back to Frenchy's today to try once more hoping it was a fluke; unfortunately not. I ordered the tuna over a bed of mandarins oranges and greens; it came out with an open Asian salad dressing which spilled onto my salad. When I asked the server if the dressing was gluten-free she said she didn't know. She asked the chefs and sure enough she brought out new salad dressing bc they didn't think so. I was so close to eating that salad dressing too! Don't eat here unless you feel like interrogating them about every item they bring out to you.
