I was so excited to find a place with so many good reviews in this small town. But I left hungry. There were some items marked GF on the main menu, but we went on a Sunday and they had a special menu with ZERO items marked GF. So I asked my server and she had NO. CLUE. Whatsoever. So discouraging! So I ordered something that looked GF and it was pretty tasty but such a small portion that I definitely left hungry. So then she asked if I wanted dessert: cheesecake, Nutella cake, etc. Again, no clue 😢

Vacationing at the beach with celiac and a shellfish allergy is not easy. But having a menu that lists GF next to so many options made it much easier. I was able to easily weed out the shellfish from a fairly substantial list of GF options. We went at 5:00 and beat the crowds. My server was great when I mentioned my allergy and gluten free requirements. She took my order, and all my allergy info directly to the cook, and after speaking with the cook, she came back to confirm everything I ordered was safe for me and would be handled separately. I ordered the grilled fiesta chicken. For sides I chose cucumber salad and baked potato. The food was good and I didn’t get sick. If we were staying longer, I would eat here again.

Our waitress Konstance was knowledgeable regarding gf options and safety. They had soups, salads, burgers, and seafood. A nice variety labeled on the menu. My daughter had bacon wrapped scallops and I had shrimp. Overall it was great food and we didn’t get sick.

Great gluten-free options! They have apps, soups, seafood, land food, and even desserts all gluten free! Our server was awesome with my allergy and even put in an alert to cook in a clean separate pan! The menu was clearly marked with their gluten-free options! Definitely recommend, delicious options!

I have eaten here a couple of times and had great service. Both some seafood options and land food. Plus waitresses were nice when mentioning an allergy!

Lots of gluten free options! Waiter was clear the kitchen is not celiac safe, but they would try their best to accommodate. Got a blood orange martini, blackened Mahi, and seafood bisque. All were great, had no issues with my stomach at all.

We went here with a large party and the service seemed a little rushed but had a great experience overall. Was told that the items marked on the menu were indeed gluten free and not to eat the crackers thar ca.w with the soup. Ordered the She crab soup and scallops and both were delicious. Would definitely go back again.

They were amazing here! Kim was the manger and she took such care in listening to my needs and then relaying them to staff and chef. I had a delicious meal of salmon and baked potato and it was celiac safe! I would absolutely recommend for safeness, kindness and accommodating service

We ate here three times during our stay. Lunch and dinner were great. Gluten free buns are available at lunch and items that are gluten free are marked at GF on the menu. This includes appetizers , salads , soups, and main entrees that are more than just grilled chicken. ( steak seafood and pork chops are also included.) there is not a separate fryer so no fries.

But we had a great experience and no one got sick! We’ ll be back in our next visit!

Don’t miss this place! They have GF items on their menu and are helpful in making food selections. If you like fish, the Mahi Mahi is wonderful and the portion size is huge!

Variety of gf options on the menu plus our waitress was knowledgeable to assist with ordering. Portion sizes were very large - great for a second meal. I had grilled Monterey chicken and mashed potatoes with no adverse reactions. Blueberry Crème brûlée was amazing. It was nice to join the family out for dinner - we will go back.

Lots of items marked on the menu as GF for dinner. I had Fresh Catch (mahi-mahi) grilled with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Waitress was knowledgeable about GF and need for no cross contamination. Restaurant was understaffed as all are these days but she did a great job attending to our needs. Food was good. First time there and will go back another time.

We ate here for Sunday brunch. Items were marked on the main menu if they were gluten free. I had eggs which were tasty. I didn't have any adverse reactions from the dining experience.

Had lots of choices to choose from and the food was delicious! It’s about $17 per plate for pricing. I did not get sick at all.

The server asked me questions about my needs.

Lots of choices including seafood. Server was extremely helpful and clear that they did not have a dedicated fryer. The soups were all seafood based and gluten free.

This was a great, local restaurant. They have new owners that have made gluten free a priority. I am so glad that we saw their advertisement in the local paper. This restaurant was not available in the search of this app.

NOT gluten free. waitress was honest told us they have nothing and the chefs really don't care about it so she wouldn't recommend I risk it. I really appreciated the honesty. go to Good Winds in Rodanthe, they are the best.
