Great gluten free bread! Service was slow but the bread made up for it :)
Our server was very knowledgeable about celiac and said the gf bread is toasted on the grill so it’s not contaminated! I got a salad with gluten free bread and the bread was amazing! Sadly they were out of all the gf pastry’s but had no reaction!

Waitress was very unaware about GF. Did not feel comfortable eating here
A little disorganized but not bad. The gf labels are not for all the additions. The rancheros are gf but not the pork barbacoa. GF bread is good!!

Had a great experience. Our waitress was so nice and caring. Talked me through what I could have and ensured I had a safe meal. Coffee was great. Cool place.

I had breakfast here TWICE. The general manager has celiac also and has trained her staff well. She eats here daily. The gf bread is very good. I had eggs, toast, grits one morning and juevos rancheros the next. I highly recommend this place for any meal.

Easily the most disappointing food experience in Nashville. Staff was incredibly rude. They don’t start making your online order until you get to the store (so there’s no point in online ordering) and tell them you’re there, did not label any of the coffees, and told us to just “taste them to figure out what’s what”. Not exactly friendly for those with dairy allergies in our group. GF “toast bread” was not toasted and fell apart immediately, worse than the usual GF bread. Sausage patty was a 2 inch burnt puck. Did not end up eating my $11 breakfast sandwich

Frothy Monkey has a variety of options for brunch/ lunch. They also roast their own coffee beans and have amazing coffee!
I totally recommend this place! Their GF bread is large and thick! 😍

No gluten free menu, items are marked though. Gluten free bread can be substituted. It is very good, thick sliced and soft. Food is delicious. Staff is friendly. Their coffees are so good. We are here three times. Didn’t get sick!

So yummy. Loved that everything was marked if it could be made gf. The gf bread was so big and good. It was hard to have as a sandwich since it fell abate so easily tho. Still the food here is great.

Waitress was knowledgeable about gf options! Their menu is labeled with gf or items that can be modified to be gf. On the sandwiches they sub out gf bread but the gf bread is made there in house and was delicious!

I just got back from this place. They have GF items and they are identified on the menu, BUT, in some instances that means a GF substitution must be made. Case in point, the biscuit sandwich. It has the GF symbol on it; however, it actually means that you'll need to substitute the biscuit for GF bread. I was so excited to eat a biscuit that wheb hen it came out I forgot to confirm it was GF. I ate a small piece with jam and let me tell you, it was heaven on earth. Of course, it wasn't GF.
My server apologized for not noticing I had ordered an item not GF and said she would take it ot off the bill. By the time she walked away, I was already starting to cough and have a hard time swallowing. I'm sure the people on either side of me were as freaked out as I was. It would have been nice if someone would have at least checked on me, or refilled my water but that wasn't the case. Luckily, I didn't need to use my EpiPen, but afer more than an hour I am still not back to normal. I rated 3 stars because the food was decent. At the end of the day I guess it was my own fault but at the same time I don't think I'll be returning. (and yes, I had told my server about my allergy)

Good breakfast. GF items are clearly labelled on the menu, though the server didn't really seem to know that. Note that items are prepared in a shared space.
A number of 'standard' breakfast items the person I was traveling with weren't available.
All okay, but a bit haphazard.

Delicious! I had a sandwich that was so good. The service was pretty terrible, but I loved the environment.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way out of Nashville and got a make-your-own omelette. Food was very good and even grabbed a gf muffin for the road!

NOT celiac friendly. They grill the gf bread on the same flattop as the non gf bread. When I asked how the bread tastes the waiter said "cakey." Ended up only being able to eat a salad and I'm still a little nervous for cross contamination. Don't bother with this place.
Edit: went inside to see if the gf muffins were safe. They were sitting in a glass case DIRECTLY next to the non gf muffins. Nope! I wouldn't even trust this place if I only had a gluten allergy.
No
I got the Julie breakfast sandwich on Gluten free bread. It the the best Gluten free bread I have had in Twenty years. Highly recommend this cute little cafe to everyone traveling to Nashville.
Yes
The menu has barley grits listed as GF. Barley is absolutely not gluten free. Wouldn’t trust anything here.
No
The staff is so knowledgeable!! They double and triple check everything. Try the shrimp & grits, it’s to die for! Edit: the shrimp and grits is no longer made gluten free. I tried to order it and they stopped me since they know I can’t have gluten!
Yes
Staff was pretty knowledgeable...they had GF toast to sub for regular bread but the server said it was toasted on the grill which may come in contact with their baguettes. So I decided not to take a chance of contamination and instead I opted for the quinoa bowl (minus the pesto which apparently contains gluten) and added an egg. It was ok...not super flavorful, but fine. The elderberry elixir drink was awesome...definitely the highlight!
We came to this location twice on our recent trip to Nashville. I eat gluten free for health reasons and Frothy Monkey was awesome! They have tons of options clearly labeled on the menu. Their gluten free bread is delicious and they were very accommodating. I did not get sick either time and felt very comfortable eating here!
Yes
Gluten free sandwiches. The PMP is amazing. I wish they had more gluten free sides
Really good GF food. The guy wrote "GLUTEN FREE" on my order around four times.
Several GF items available, but not extensive. Staff was knowledgeable about GF. Creative and good food.
