NOT a dedicated fryer. The staff was very knowledgeable about what could be gluten free! They were happy to help. The scallops and grouper dinner was very good!!

The rice tasted like microwaved rice and was missing seasoning though. The baked oyster had a little “oceany” after taste.

Y’all, this place is Wonderful!! Just ate here tonight and they were able to make me fried shrimp, fried grouper, fried scallops, cheesy grits and it was all amazingly good. I have a gf intolerance and have issues with scratching throat, rash when I eat wheat and I had no problems. I have not had fried foods like this in years. I’m so happy I found this place. The owner is an incredibly friendly kind man as well and the staff was also wonderful. This place is a Gem. They were even able to make my son dairy free fried shrimp so he could enjoy his meal as well.

This has become a favorite local spot! Waitstaff and kitchen staff are extremely aware of gluten allergies and cross contamination. Very friendly atmosphere. Have had the chicken tenders, fries, and fried pickles and they are delicious! For those with dairy allergies as well, simply stay away from ranch or other dairy products as there aren’t alternatives.

Wow!! Gary’s does not disappoint for sure. Fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, fried grouper, fries, cheese grits- all GF!!! And absolutely delicious!!! This is adding to my must visits when we are in town! Thank you so much for giving us a safe and delicious option for fresh seafood!!!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. All fish is fried in gluten free corn meal. Good bbq too.

I was ecstatic that I was able to get something fried. I was able to eat fried dill pickles, fried shrimp and grouper.

I thought it was GF by the previous review but found out the fried shrimp and oysters (which are GF) are fried in the same frier as the non-GF hush puppies. Hence, this place isn't GF. Arghhh. I wish the place would make GF hush puppies. That would be great!!
