Review of Gelati Joe's

Their gelato is great. What's not is that they advertise gluten free cones on their website. I expressed to the manager (who also happened to be running the register) that I could not have any gluten due to celiac disease. I asked about the cones, and asked if they could please change gloves before touching my cone. (This seems extreme, but it's to keep me from getting sick) I drove home as much as possible that I can't have gluten. I took one bite into my cone, and went back to the counter. This cone tasted too good to be gluten free. He told me he was sure it was gluten free, but would check. I asked if I could please see the box for myself. Sure enough, wheat warning right on the box. He said he was sorry, and didn't know that they even HAD gluten free cones. I can't for the life of me figure out why he said they would get me a gluten free cone, if they don't even carry them. Much less why their website said they have them. Celiacs beware. It's not worth getting sick. Everyone else: have at it! It's great!
