Ghost Box Pizza

Took a risk based on reviews …. Still paying the price days later. They do not really know how to make food GF. Even if they prepare a pizza or salad separately, they are still using the same ingredients as gluten pizzas (they told me they couldn’t get fresh ingredients). I got a salad but I think it was those contaminated ingredients that did me in. It also wasn’t even that good, was expensive, and my drink was not tasty.

Great pizza place that takes gluten free and cross contamination seriously for celiacs. Affiliated with Stem Ciders as well so good gluten free drinks too. They have a separate oven for the gluten free pizzas. I’ve eaten here twice now with no issues! So excited to have safe gluten free pizza!

The service was great but I was sick within 30 minutes of eating. The pizza was delicious but obviously cross contaminated. My husband (non-gluten free) loved his meal. Just not safe for celiacs who are sensitive.

Ghost Box only recently opened and my loved ones wanted to check it out. I was feeling left out and thinking I would probably have to eat somewhere else but we decided to call and see what protocol they had for gf pizza before giving up. It turns out that they have pre-made gf crusts that are made offsite and stay sealed until use so they are protected from cc. They then cook these gf crusts in a SEPARATE OVEN. I was so shocked and excited. I got a gf margherita pizza and it was delicious. $3 up-charge for gf crust but if that’s what helps pay for a separate oven, I’ll pay it happily. It’s still the night of, but I’m feeling fine for now. I’ll edit/update this review if I do end up getting sick but I think I might have just found a place where I can actually eat pizza!!
