Gilligan's Island Bar & Grill

There are not many options here. I had a bowl with greens, black beans and rice with some grilled shrimp. I couldn't have the tortilla chips that came with due to a shared fryer. But it tasted good and I didn't get sick.

We drove all the way from longboat key to Siesta Key just for this restaurant. We found out the only things offered for people with celiac disease would be beans and rice or salad.

Staff was very aware of gluten allergies. All of their tacos are gluten free and so good!

Amazing experience. Our server caught on with all of my allergies and told me what I could and couldn’t have before I knew what to ask. No artificial sweeteners, paleo friendly, and lots of options!! Try the cheesecake. So good. The menu has different options with ‘GF’ listed next to it, but they can modify anything. They do not have a dedicated frier but they were quick to tell me and give me other safe options. Definitely check this place out.

Server was knowledgeable about what is gluten free on the menu, asked specifically if I was celiac to ensure appropriate precautions used. The mahi mahi tacos were great! Margarita was also good!
