When in Rome…. I visited Ginger for lunch. They serve a lot of healthy and fresh food but the GF options are limited if you don’t take into account the smoothies or juices. Reason for this is they want to be sure if you are a coeliak that the food is GF and they can not rule out X-contamination. I ordered a (GF listed) salad with roast beef and walnuts. Too bad the olive oil and vinegar came very late and there was a piece of plastic in my salad. As a coeliak I would visit an other establishment but I would recommend it if I were a non-coeliak

Had smoothies as an alternative to ice cream. Very nice but the serving staff weren’t sure if the ice cream in one of the smoothies was gf or not and had to check.

Definitely not typical Italian fare, but after several days of pizza and pasta, something lighter/healthier sounded great. GF options clearly marked and there was the typical disclaimer about cross contamination. I took the risk with a yummy chicken, quinoa and beet salad, and a big smoothie. Great choices available when looking for something different in Roma.
