The menus clearly indicate which items are GF (only a couple) and which can be prepared GF (many options). The servers took note of my Celiac and assured me that the Grand Wailea chefs and kitchen staff are very knowledgeable and careful about cross-contamination. My chicken tacos were delicious and filling (from the poolside Volcano Bar & Grill). Another day I had a sandwich on a very good GF bun (from Bistro Molokini). They served it without one of the sauces to make sure it was safe. There were multiple items that sounded good, and the kitchen does the necessary eliminations and/ or substitutions to make something GF. The bartenders let me see the drink mixer containers, and they came up as GF on my scanner. Since I never get symptoms, I can’t be 100% sure there was no minimal contamination, but I certainly felt safe enough. Prices are a little steep, but they always are at any Maui resort.
