Was informed that there are special procedures in place for preventing cross contamination. Also, as of February 2023, only potato and sweet potato products are used in their fryer, making them GF.
They were quite busy when we went, so there were a lot of orders being made. I can’t say that they didn’t make other non-GF orders at the same time as mine. I think there is the possibility for cross-contamination based on what I saw. My food came out looking safe, so I have no reason to suspect any issues this time. But I wouldn’t exactly feel 100% comfortable knowing that gluten-containing foods were being prepared at the same time as mine.
I get pretty anxious when I can see my food being made. I spent the entire time watching the employees through the glass window. I assume I did so because, if in the event that I I saw an employee contaminate my food, I could act before I ate anything. This is by no means a statement about the business, but rather my own personal insecurities. But I figured I’d include this just in case anyone found it useful.
