This used to be an incredibly allergy friendly establishment. We recently stayed here and it is not longer the case. Buffet only. Chef couldn’t not tell us what was in the sauces for the meats. The burger shop in the pool area does not have gluten free buns nor did the people working even know what gluten was. Very disappointing. Plan to eat elsewhere if you go to Great Wolf and have any kind of allergy.

We went last February 2022 and the breakfast was buffet style and dinners were like a regular restaurant. They had excellent gluten free buns and a dedicated fryer. We went again December 2022 and breakfast was the same but dinner was also buffet style. It was horrible. No one knew what was gluten free except for the obvious things (not the pasta or fried chicken). One person would tell us something was gluten free and the next person would say it wasn't and vice versa. At least for breakfast you can order gluten free pancakes as well. For dinner it's basically a shot in the dark if it's safe or not. They do still have the gluten free pizza which is fine, but unless all you want to eat pizza for every meal other than breakfast, the food situation is not great. Major downgrade from when we went last time which is pretty disappointing.

We had pizza from Hungry as a Wolf. My 9 year old celiac gave it two thumbs up. I also had it and concur.
We also spoke with the chef and they have great protocol.

To get the gluten free food, you have to go to the restaurant, not Buckets Incredible Craveables. The restaurant only serves pizza during lunch, but they have a gluten free crust. They don’t serve dinner until 5pm and that’s when you can get the gluten free buns and fries, just so you’re all aware!

The head chef will come out and talk to you about all risks. The staff was super knowledgeable about what we could eat and wasn’t sure about 1 item and went back and asked the kitchen before putting in the order. Great service!
I ordered a GF cheeseburger with caramelized onions, salad and fries. They have a separate fryer and cooking spot for all GF meals. The bun did have poppy seeds and sesame seeds on it, just FYI.

Supper at restaurant was great. Could make almost anything on the menu. Separate fryer. Breakfast was also good. Would bring buffet items from back to avoid cc. Little shop had enjoy life packaged cookies.

The staff is very well trained about food allergies. I had a fried chicken sandwich and French fries. My meal was prepared in a dedicated space and a dedicated fryer. My meal was delivered to me by the manager, not our waiter. The manager checked with me half way through the meal to make sure everything was ok. This place was top notch. Worry free dining! No side effects! I’ll be back!

I couldn’t be happier with our stay. Myself and my 8 year old are celiac. We had supper at the buffet last night and I was both hopeful because of the reviews I’d seen but also skeptical because it’s a buffet. At the front when you are greeted they ask how many in your party and any allergies. I told them we were celiac. She wrote it down and seated us. Minutes later the sous chef came out and took us on a tour of the buffet and showed us what we could eat. And anything we couldn’t he described how he could make it safely out back and bring to our table as a ready to order meal. I almost cried. We were in our glee. Between the two of us we had ribs, chicken, steak and gravy, fries and gravy, pepperoni pizza, veggies, creme brulee, cupcakes, ice cream. There were seafood dishes, chilli, custard, jello and other stuff there we could have but we couldn’t manage to try everything. We tried. 😆 Breakfast didn’t have quite as many options but it had lots. Yogurt, fruit, beans, gluten free bread, bacon, ham, scrambled eggs, omelettes, he made us safe pancakes in the back and brought it to the table. The only issue I had was he told us the Lucky Charms were gluten free. I explained why they still weren’t safe for us and I don’t think he agreed. But neither of us wanted cereal anyway lol My daughter kept telling me ‘you have to tell everyone about this place! There was so much! Usually we can only pick one or two things! But here I can have anything! Can we move here?’

Chef came out to talk to us before breakfast and dinner at the buffet. Offered to cook gluten free meals in the back if there wasn’t enough at the buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff, and the food was delicious. Baked gluten free pizza for us for lunch. The only drawback was that there was no dedicated fryer. A wonderful holiday and great eating experience!

I was very specific with our waitress about my celiac diagnosis. The chef came to the table and personally guaranteed a gluten free meal. He took extra precautions and discussed them with me when he delivered the meal also. I had the chili lime chicken bowl and it was filling along with delicious!

They were great with our 7yo celiac. Pizza, fries (separate fryer), buns, pancakes, and more! The sit down restaurants send the chef out to the table and talk about the gf food.

Based on other reviews, I asked the staff if I could bring my own food in so I could eat with my family because they wanted to eat at the hotel. They got the manager, and she told me they take allergies very seriously and have a seperate kitchen. I told her about the bad reviews I saw on this site and she said to always ask for and order with a manager. I ate both dinner and breakfast (they will make you seperate food if you ask. I wouldn't trust the buffet) here and didn't get sick.
That being said, I had ordered a roasted chicken breast with au jus, with mashed potatoes, and a vegtable (what was listed GF on the menu) and instead got a deep friend chicken breast/thigh chunk and French fries. The manager was so nice and said she was watching them make it so I didn't get sick, and that they fried the chicken and fries in a seperate pot of oil to be safe. But, also I didn't order fried chicken and fries and wish I would have known about the substitutiins ahead of time.
